Which is your favorite Masters of the Universe period?

This includes everything that is associated with Masters of the Universe:

Toys, books, cartoons, records, CDs, movies, clothing, spin-offs, remakes and so on.

I have to say the 2000's because of being able to see all the episodes from both He-man and She-ra again!

Some I don't think I ever saw back in the eighties (especially season 2 of She-ra) and you can watch them continuous rather than waiting a week for the next episode

Most of the classic figures we had were my brothers, though I did have Castle Grayskull, but I wasn't really an huge fan of the He-man toys so that's why I mainly didn't vote 80's.

I loved the Thundercats toys much more and still do.

Now if the poll is about which incarnation of He-man I prefer, I have to say the eighties version, but I presumed we are talking about a period of time we enjoyed MOTU, so you have to vote for the 2000's no matter which version your a fan of because you can enjoy them all at the same time now!

I gotta toss in my vote for the classic too. Can't improve on perfection
People who say certain characters should never be remade is stupid. Throw rocks at them.

I support Filmation characters for MOTUC! Let Mattel know it's worth their while to get the rights to those characters!

The current era. It gave us higher production values in all aspects of the presentation, and a coherent story, something the classic line failed to do.

I disagree with The Game's analysis.
    Gotta go with the classic.

Well nothing beats the original, but the newest attempt certainly did do a few things better.

Nice to see some people in here chose to disrespect the N.A with less..."mature" responses

I'll go with the original, it lasted the longest, followed by N.A, which surpassed the grossly overated third cartoon

    Chris here...

Easily the 1980s - as much as I love the new MOTU stuff, I prefer all the original MOTU to the new, whether that be the cartoon, the toyline, or the spin-off merchandise!

My next favourite would be the 1990s - although my favourite is the original Filmation He-Man & She-Ra, I love the New Adventures too!

    Take care...

Is being confused a side-effect to being drunk? Because you said in your inital post you weren't drunk, then you were, and now you're not NA needs a few pops and at least you admit that you voted that way for a reason

Between the divine 4H new designs...

    A kick-ass new cartoon series...

    Commemorative Reissues...

    Statues and busts...

    Classic cartoon coming to DVD...

Yeah, I think the 2000's are the best.

But there are some MotU things I miss from the '80's for sure.

I love the 80's but I was a kid and I wasn't able to enjoy it like I do now in the 2000's. I have everything from the MYP cartoon and comics. I have alot of the classic stuff to but I never had the experience as now. And the 90's NA were horrible.

The eighties was definately my favorite. However the 2000's would have been my favorite had the line continued.

The toys rock, the cartoon was miles and leaps ahead of the old show, and there was just this great energy about it. Sure, classic had more episodes, but I thought for the 39 we got of new, so much was touched upon and dealt with that never would have made it back then.

The first season of the new version was great, an origin episode that could'nt be topped, Skeletor's background detailed further, the Hordak cameos in a well-written episode that made Two-Badd a great character in his own right, Tri-Clops tried to betray Skeletor occasiony. A good deal of gems.

But the toyline was barly articulate, the second season sucked barring four episodes, three of which did'nt include that crappy snake-armour...or the Snake-Men in particular, maybye if they had stayed with what the first season offered, things would'nt have dragged on and utterly soured. It's perfectly fine to evolve a show to sell toys, but don't sacrifice substance for style, and since people like to take stabs at N.A He-Man, I have every right to do the same to this version of the franchise, which became nowhere near as good as people claimed it to be.

...Outside of a great comic of course
