Tour of Eternia #11: The Plant People

Our Tour of Eternia continues into the "vine country" as we see the mysterious Plant People! Though their numbers are unknown, many think that they are a dying race, the last watchmen of the Eternian wilderness.

The strongest of the Plant People and an old ally of Eternos in the fight against evil is the heroic Mossman! Being a plant, his very body breaths the life-giving atmosphere of Eternia's Bright Hemisphere.

The gentle mystic who is said to have created the Plant People is the Bitter Rose Goddess, mother of the Eternian Flora.

Possibly the last born Plant Person is Fern, a student of magic under the moss mage known as Glade. Fern aides the Heroic Warriors against the Evils of the Dark Hemisphere.

Oldest living Plant Person, Glade is a teacher, a warrior, and a magician.

A toxic and hateful being, Evilseed spurns the balance between flora and fauna, seeking to crush the animal kingdom and pave the way for a world dominated by his own voracious plant life.

A princess of poisons, Widow Weed spreads toxins throughout Eternia. She is poison to men, but be even women must fear this monster of malevolent nature!

I have to tell you the sole (original) reason I joined the .org forums was to keep up with your Tours of Eternia. I have since become a fan of all the talented artists on this site, but you are still the man.

Glade looks amazing, but I'm not that big a fan of the nose-less look on Mossman. Don't you think it's weird that out of the good moss-people he's the only one without what appears to be a nose?

This is my favorite design of the bunch. I'm not sure what it is, but she just stands out so much more than the others to me

totally awesome...!!!

to be honest i have never really cared about Mossman and the others like him(are any besides Evil seed NOT fan characters???)...

but seeing them all together is fantastic...really brings out the great designs and concepts of these fan made characters...as a group they really FIT the MOTU universe...

are there any Moss People on Etheria...??? the Twiggets are only semi-mossy, if ya know what i mean...

I've forgotten to give credit to J-Sun, who created both Glade and Fern. I'd have added my own character Arbor guardian of Sky Tree but I couldn't come up with a good design for him.

Ah, look again. The only characters with noses are J-Sun's creations, Glade and Fern. I honored their original designs, but I don't think Mossman needs a nose. If it came down to it, I'd change them first.

You should have an Arbour design contest. Then you can decide or people could vote.

I'd still like to know did gbagok ever work for Mike Young Productions--gbagok's work has gotten down the MVP He-Man down perfectly.

Gbagok, Impressive as always. You're Awesome!! Glade is my favourite amongst all of these. I absolutley love the version of Mossman, but I think you should add MYP's version in too.But Fantastic work!!

I gotta say the Tours of Eternia have to be one of the coolest highlights to these forums.

Ah yes, a closer look at the bitter Rose Goddess reveals that even tho she's got some nose-structure it doesn't actually have any nostrils.

Very much looking forward to the Snake Men. I expect your Snake Face to be awesome! And include a 'stoned' variant of course.

Fantastic! Interesting to see the origional concept Moss man in MYP style. I suppose it could have worked

I love them gbagok, I even think Bitter Rose could have worked out for Perfuma, I never would have pictured her green, but they way you have designed her, I personally see a lot of Perfuma in her I know, I know, I'm wanting too much by trying to tie in all the POP characters into the Masters characters. the only one I don't want to use a masters theme is Mermista I have NO DESIRE TO SEE HER LOOKING LIKE MERMAN lol
