    Meeting Sir Elton John

In the summer of 1989 my family and me watched Torquay United play Bolton Wanderers at Wembley Stadium. We'd secured VIP tickets and therefore were able to park in the VIP car park.

The guest of honour, Sir Elton John (obese, pallid and dressed in what can only be described as Parson's attire), arrived in his signature black Bentley! The driver was promptly told not to park in the private members area! His royal highness stepped out of the car, but security were nonplussed and reiterated, to the driver, to move the car or it would be towed away!!!

Whilst this was going on, I took the opportunity to ask Sir Elton for an autograph. His driver informed me that Mr Elton wasn't signing today, before returning to argue with security! Nice. And the car was driven away!

I seriously have grown to dislike that man in the past few years. I am waiting for the day George Micheals just puts 5 across his pudgy face while Madge pops a foot in him.

Elton John is an amazing artist and I highly doubt he's such a diva!
People and security might have been rude to you because they don't think of others as fans but as potential dangers to the artist.

Unfortunately the context was somewhat different in this instance! Mr Elton John's driver was taking flak from the security guards for parking in the VIP area (how ironic?). I was, literally, standing next to him and just asked politely; never assumed he would sign anything. At the time he was having 'problems'. However, I've never liked him and this signature was intended as a birthday surprise for my Mother! Oh well.

They should stop watching James Bond movies.
Not everybody can shoot bullets out of ballpens when asking for an autograph

Here's something special for all you Elton fans.

I don't think their voices blend together all that well.

I'm in the camp that hopes George Michael will also kick his ego-inflated ass.

Did you hear that he came out and said and is going to do apparently a Rap Album?! No lie, Serious about this. Now normally I would be completely appalled at this, but the only thing that came to mind was. Eh at least it'll be better than K-feds album.
