North Carolina sightings?

Are there any places in North Carolina (preferably in or near the Piedmont) that has a selection of Masters figures (beyond the stray He-Man variant at KB Toys )?

wow...so...this confirms that I'm all alone in NC in MOTUC.

Nah, I know of at least one other from NC. So there are others. This thread is just from 2006.

There is this guy that sells MOTUC at the Raleigh Toy Show i was hoping to find here, but I don't know his name.

Hey man, you're not alone.....I am in NC (morrisville), recently moved down from MA. I'm not sure of any place for anything motu related yet, but will be looking for shows in the area! I know we had a comicon here in Morrisville last month, but I didn't find out until the day after lol

WHAT???? There was one in Morrisville? I only know about the one in Charlotte. argh.
Well, I know a ton of Transformers fans in this area. Good to know there are other MOTU fans here.
Have you seen any She-Ra TRU packs at all? You live closer to the Cary TRU than I do, i'm guessing.

The Toys R Us in Greensboro had a bunch of Skelly vs Lex 2-packs last time I was there. I haven't really seen any Classics anywhere other than there.

well, this thread was made back when MOTU200X was going, i guess...so should we get it renamed to NC fans? or something? I'd like to know just how many NC ppl are into MOTUC.
I'm actually set for next year with my first ever Subscription to the MOTUC club Eternia.
Crowmag at the Fairgrounds (Raleigh) has older MOTU in his booth at the Flea Market.

Hi y'all! I'm from Lincolnton and have been playing around here for years! Over at TRU in Hickory were the She-Ra/Supergirl and Zodac/Green Lantern 2 packs. Gastonia still has the Merman and the Stratos 2 packs. There are several comic/toy stores in this part of NC (Rebel Base in Charlotte, Time Tunnel in Hickory, Collector's World in Gastonia & The Comic Monstore in Salisbury are my favorites.) Inside Pitch Promotions has a toy show that alternates locations within the state, but honestly these have had less and less at them since the popularity of eBay. Don't forget to also go to the local comic shows especially Heroes con (I even saw Val, Emiliano and Judith there a few years ago) Anyhoo, Just saying hi to all you long-time and new Tarheels!

you know, I live beside the metropolis of Raleigh, and we really don't have any toy stores.
We have Capitol Comics and a TRU in Cary and a TRU-Exrpress in TTC(N.Ral).
...and that's it.

Hey guys, not sure if anyone knows this, but there is a Toy Show coming up in Hickory at the Hickory metro convention center. I will be there with a couple tables set up, selling MOTU, Transformers, DC & Marvel, TMNT, Thundercats, Power Rangers, Exo-Squad and more! If you are in NC go check it out, its Saturday March 10th from 9-4.

I'm in Fayetteville myself. I've been cruising around this site since about 2001 or so but only recently had the gumption to join and start posting.

The last toy show I went to was in Raleigh last fall at the state fairgrounds. There was exactly two tables with MOTU: one guy had a few vintage pieces loose plus a couple of stactions and another table had a boxed, open Snake Mountain that a woman was wanting a ridiculous amount of cash for. It was pretty disappointing.

i was at the Raleigh Toy Show! I really wish i had money, but i didn't have any. There was alot of good stuff there, lots of MOTUC and TMNT to be bought for the lucky ones. I really wish I could have gotten the Art Asylum Star Trek Enterprise playset that was in the corner! The Woman with the Snake Mountain had a ton of cheap figs. I thought her stuff was reasonable. I really wish I could have bought the 3-pack of holographic warrior playset...can't think of the name, but it's not the Visionairies.

I didn't even look through her figures. I saw that $400 price tag on Snake Mountain and I ran away.

I didn't see any MOTUC there though? All I saw were the Snake Mountain lady and the guy with a few from the original line. I was on the lookout for the newer figs but the most recent thing I saw was the Hordak and Webstor stactions.

yeah, i live N.Raleigh. I need some pieces to 2002, especially the Stactions.
There were 2 people selling the MOTUC in package, and one guy selling some really cool TMNT figures (collectible priced) and some bagged MOTUC like Clawful and others i needed.
Maybe we're talking about a different woman, I don't recall any $400 sign.
When you go in, to the far left corner of the second aisle, there was a lady with lots of 80s stuff. She also had Teela from 200x which i passed on and did get the white in package Escaflowne knight mech.
Then on the first aisle were all the MOTUC sellers. My friend from Chapel Hill was on that aisle, near the end, on the right. His are all MIP. He also has Outer Space Men figures and a ton of great stuff. He's a great guy, buy from him. I could have spent a fortune there if i had it, but post-Christmas is tough on me.

Hey guys, Well it would be great to run into anyone from the boards at the show this Saturday. I always keep my prices reasonable, and try to have as much variety as possible. i can't say i have much at all for motu this saturday, only a handful of items, hoping to get some in for the next show. I didn't make it to that show in Raleigh, but I was at the most recent one in january. I should be set up at all of the upcoming shows except for the charlotte shows

Hey BBQ17, it was great to meet you saturday! falconhood, yes i was set up at the last raleigh show at the fairgrounds. Yup, the next show isn't until June, I do plan on setting up at noth the greensboro and raleigh shows. But i will pass on ever doing the hickory show, its too far of a drive for me for not much of a crowd. I may also try doing heroescon down in charlotte sometime, not the next one in june though.
