my only real complaint is that (and this is a retrospective complaint) sometimes the figure discolors and my original even absorbed some of the purple from his cape.
It's just a flaw in plastic/manufacturing...not with the fig.

I've had a couple discolour slightly, although I've never had any trouble with absorbing the purple from the cape (...yet; fingers crossed).

One thing I can't remember if I commented on, but I always felt the name was the only thing that let the whole figure down slightly. I mean, it was okay, but rather generic sounding. I would have much preferred to have him called 'Spector' (similar to the Euro 'Spectror' name).

I've seen that happen on quite a few of the loose SG's I've seen. It seemed to be most noticeable on the tops of the shoulders and the tricep area, at least on the ones that I've seen. Still one of the coolest figures released though!

Scare Glow I just loved this figure from the get go. his powers to instill terror in anyone was the best. me and my brother did'int like the ghost of Skelertor idea, to much because you then had to think who could have killed Skelertor. awesome figure right up tiil the day my brother thought you could pull the arms of him like other figures. and destroyed him, I threw the amputee out. never seen him again, since I was a kid. ill buy him one day on e bay hopefully.

Is he constructed differently? (I've never had one) I'm surprised!

Yes he is constructed differently from what I remember his arms are not made to be pulled off. and thus my broken Scare glow had to be thrown away. no evil warrior can fight He man with one arm.

All the Scare Glow's I've seen have regular arms. I don't think any of the figures were designed to have you pull the arms off on a routine basis, but Scare Glow, like most of the others have arms that can be removed and replaced.

the "glow stuff" causes the plastic to be far more brittle this in turn makes them fragile and attempting to take his arms off especially if its been alittle cold his shoulder is snapping right off. ive seen it tons of times. a sad affair

As I've reconted on several threads, about six months ago now I won a load of less common late figures on the 'bay, including a pretty much mint Scare Glow. Mr. Postman rang the doorbell (I was in, but didn't even give me time to answer) beforing tossing the package over the (high) back gate, despite the fragile warnings and obvious rattling indictating goods inside. Result was Mr. Glows arm joint snapping right off at the joint! (A near-mint Saurod also got pretty smashed up).

Luckily it was quite a clean break, and with a well-placed dob or three of plasic-friendly super glue, I managed to do a decent repair. But I still know it's there.
    Damn you, Mister Postman!!

I know the sculpt will rule all, I just hope the Glow in the Dark feature is there.

Unfortunately Scare glow came in the last wave, right when g.i. joe was taking over for me. I've always liked skeletons and other scary stuff, so I almost picked him up a few times, but the only place I ever saw him was k-b for $9 (ok, ok $8.99 but it may as well have been 9 bucks). I aquired two a year or two ago in various states of messed up. The one I currently use has a burn on his chest and the other has no left arm or peg. He's a great figure though and I really regret not getting one earlier. BTW, if anyone has a decent body (minus maybe a head or arm since I'm a cheap person) or a cape, shoot me an e-mail.
