OK above you will find the poll for the 2nd round of the .org character development event. I'm going to post the first of the Wraptor pics here first and then below list out in more detail the characters in the poll...


Well the first of the final drawings has come in and its AMAZING!!!! Now you can all see what the results are after one of these is complete... Hopefully even more people will participate this next time. I'm excited to see who is chosen. I'm going to post progressions of these drawings when available so that you can see how they came to be. Again I want to thank everyone for their participation... Wraptor really has taken on a whole new life through this development project! So here is the first drawing by BEARSHOW!

1. Terror Dacdyl - So far he's a prehistoric warrior from preternia who is snatched from the past to work for either the horde or skeletor.

2. Spy Fly - Evil Fly Warrior able to shrink down to the size of an actual fly to spy on enemies. Also possesses the ability to spit corrosive acids.

3 Magmight - 2nd in commond of the EVIL comet warriors. He is like the hordak in the hordak, horde prime relationship. He is sent by the evil Volcainus to Eternia with his warriors to conquer.

4 Barret - One of the eternian triplets (which also includes Iland the good brother, and Psyrena the minipulated evil sister) Barrett was one apart of the royal gaurd and matches Teela in ability, but he is swayed by darkness and defects to join Skeletor

5 Snake Byte - After the success of Copperhead the snakemen decide to build another cybord warrior to aide him. Snakebyte is pumped full of venoms which he can access through various claws and stingers on his hands feet and tail.

6 Ickthia - The daughter of Merman and a human woman Ickthia lived the first part of her life unaware of who her father was and looking like a typical human girl. At the age of 17 however her flesh began to turn to scales and her human beauty was turned into something ugly. She found that by sucking the water out of humans she can regain her human looks for the most part and thus becomes like a vampire stalking her pray because of her vanity.

7 Glasssss - When Magmight arrives on Eternia he comes across a statue of an ancient snakewoman statue. She was an Empress long ago and wielded a great power. Magmight realizes the the corpse of the snakewoman is buried in this statue and using his powers he revives her and turns her to animated glass. She joins him in the conquering of Eternia.

8 Hoep - When Princess adora was taken to Etheria by Hordak Hoep (who later becomes Light Hoep) followed him trying to get her back. Eventually he becomes light hope but when and how and why are up to us to discover.

9 Rockette - A female Comet Warrior with powerful rockets and a design influenced by dance.

10 Tundrah - Once apart of the Magicat tribe and training along side Patrah and Catra, Tundrah turned away from her people pursueded by power and darkness. She started her own sect of warrior women accessing the power of the wolf.

I'm trying not to pay attention to its beauty so I'm not influenced, but bloody hell thats awesome. I especially like the way his bone snakes are coiled.

Oh wow, that's gorgeous! I know that name Wraptor has been floating around for a while (Dr. Omega I think initiated it), and it's perfect for a MOTU character. Here though is a design that takes full advantage of what that name suggests, right down to the velociraptor claws. Well, almost full advantage I guess since there aren't any wings, but seriuosly, excellent design! Drat, I guess the next fan-created character contest has it's winner already. Although I still hope there is one since it brings out so many gems.

I voted for Tundrah, she sounds more like something we haven't seen before.

I like the personal touches and I like the fact that I can totally see that as a possible Staction with (it seems) little to no changes to the design.

The forearm bones are thick so the arms would hold up, he seems like he could be well balanced with feet that are big enough to support him, and the snakes being placed as such would probably be easy enough (for a great sculptor, unlike me) to make without the guy tipping over!

All in all I love it. Also it brings a metaphorical tear to my eye to see some of my influences. It's a great feeling, and we can all share in it which is so awesome!

I'm really happy you all are loving Bearshow's drawing, although, come one its by Bearshow how could you not. Seriously I may be biased, but I think this might be one of my favorite pieces of yours Bearshow! The colors are sooo vibrant I feel like his going to jump off my screen and mummify me. lol

It is going to be interesting to see who wins this next poll. I really tried to pick a range of characters, obviously including favorites, but also including some less developed characters with a good amount of potential.

I'm glad you like it Gbagok! Would love to have you lend your ideas to the next development project. After starting work on Wraptor and looking for info on fearo for a project with the two of them I came across what you are talking about... it seemed like Wraptor was an alternate name for Fearo or something? I couldn't quite figure it out. Pm me if you have more info.

I'm really glad you like this doompuppet, I tried to have the artists include everyones comments and ideas in the design, and if you look they really are all there. I can't wait for you to see the others... as you know i've already seen BBM's progress and it is pretty amazing too. Complete with snake bandages leaching out, which are my favorite part of wraptor.

Thanks, everybody-especially Patreek for tracking me down and alerting me to this great project concept!

I'm glad you guys like the design, I was trying to incorporate as much "freshly risen corpse" to him as possible.

The toughest part, actually, was color assignment. The bones couldn't be white, 'cause they disappear into the bandages. And they couldn't be too yellow, 'cause then they'd clash with the golden armor. So, I decided on a goldenrod accent for the shadows and plain ol' skin color for the bones. I liked it! Also, the skin was a dark green for the scale accents, but then just grey all over. The Prismacolor blends the two, giving us that rotting green color!

So many good ideas to choose from. I particularly like Terror Dactyl and Spy Fly, and Ickthia has potential for some great fan fiction! But personally I think I'll go for... Terror Dactyl. I've always like ancient-inspired characters, and I think it would work well as an MOTU figure.

I'm always really surprised by these polls. Snakebyte used to get SOOO much love and made it into the final three last time, I think taking second place... and this time he only has ONE votes. Meanwhile Ickthia, the newest character in the bunch who I almost didn't include becuase I didn't think people would be into her as much is tied for second place. SO WEIRD! But cool, keeps things interesting.

As for Spy Fly, I think it could still be cool if he wins even if there are already versions of him... I look at these challenges as a way to completely reimagine the character.

I've been thinking more and more of switching Spy Fly and Terror Dacdyl's factions. I think it would be easier to make TerrorD more original and less like the Marvel character if he's horde... meanwhile I really like the idea of SpyFly being on eternia, something about him fits better with MOTU for me then it does POP/Horde.

Bearshow: Thanks for posting that bigger picture... I was trying to figure out how I could do just that. You loose so detail in the small one. Again increadible job.

Doompuppet: Unfortunately if two win will have to have a run off between them. There is a secret suprise going on though so be on the lookout. ;-)

LOL for purely selfish reasons, I'd like Terror-Dacdyl or Ickthia to win. Why? I want something new to draw, LOL!!! Seriously though, I think Ickthia shows a lot of promise. I've also had a few ideas for Tundrah too. I ain't drawn a pretty girl in ages, hook me up!!!

That is absolutely Fantastic Bearshow. The detail on Wraptor is mind blowing &i especially loe the head peice.

As for the next character, I voted for Glasss. I feel the concept is really unique. SpyFly is definitly a close second.

These are ALL awesome characters. I'd be happy to see any of them go on. I voted for Tundrah though. I love anything having to do with ice and cold and that paired with the Egyptian thing just seems totally cool.

Wow, thanks, everybody. I joked with Patreek that I didn't even think anybody would remember me, since I haven't been around much in the past year. It sincerely means a lot that you have enjoyed this piece .

I voted for Tundrah, for a lot of the same reasons listed above. I love the monstrous characters, but it would cool to alternate some ideas to keep the mix fresh, and what could be further from a rotting Snake Lord mummy than an Artic warrioress ?

BBM started an amazing sketch of one of my silly creations a year ago, and I have yet to give him anything for it. Oh well, guess its time for me to go get another job.
