Wraptor by Bearshow BuffaloBillMan Bootleg Supermonkeyboy & more& Poll for next round

After I get through a bulk of these characters I'm thinking about running a contest for fan created characters by other .org members so if you have one of yours in mind maybe thats your route. The only thing thats hard about the idea is the person has to be willing to really let people design a great deal of the character for/with them. I don't know if people will really be into that or not. So we'll see, it seems like it could be fun though. If this whole thing makes it to a number 10 thats sorta when I thought I'd do it... as a special event anniversary type thing ;-) Thats a big IF though i suppose... things are going well so far though people seem to be enjoying this so we'll see.

my version of wraptor is in inks right now, so hopefully i'll have it up late this week or early next week.

as for the next character development poll, i picked rockette. tigerburn's first illustration of her was already so great, i wanted to see how cool her final design would turn out!

Ickthia sure has been rocketing... kind of surprised... though her latest description does make her sound much more cool. I like the Merman link. I could totally see her with a She-ra like head piece but instead of the wings has mermans fin like face things... but as she hydrates those disapear and she looks human in the face...

Really it would be cool if any of them won. My top three?

Well Doompuppet if you are thinking about drawing Terror... I was thinking it might be easier to make him look different then the marvel character if he's horde... I was thinking he could be from Preternia and somehow hordak pulls him into the future to work for him...

Another thing that could differentiate him is just color... all the drawings so far have been black and white and I think people just assume he's green... now I picture him having a lot of green but going this horde route... he could also have red like on his wings... big red horde like wings...... these are just thoughts and ideas...

Actually I always saw him as red. I'm gonna sketch him up for the Horde Chibis anyway

Hmmmm that sounds really cool. I always liked the idea of Spyfly being with skeletor and terrord with horde anyway.

I don't know if I see him being totally red but green with a lot of red armor or something would be really cool specially with some sort of cool red helmet thing.

Time for desperate measures!

VOTE TERROR-DACTYL!

As you can see I went a little outside the box and made him a unique 'race' of dinosaur-type creature. Sort of the same way Leech isn't an actual leech in appearance, I figured my version wouldn't actually BE an actual pterodactyl in appearance.

Wraptor – Evil Mummified Monarch

Powers:

-Enhanced strength and reflexes
-Animated snake bandages that can leach out to ensnare a foe and when Wraptor is able to completely encase an adversary in these bandages they become zombified --and will work for Wraptor until freed from their bandages.
-He also has two extra snake appendages which after years of decomposition are skeletal.

Weapons:

-The Snake Blade – which is an ancient khopesh
-The sacrificial dagger used in his mummification
-A snake beaded flail

History:

Wraptor is originally from Eternia’s ancient Egyptian past known as Egypternia. Back then he was known as King Hydras and he ruled over the Snake men. Much of his empire was built on the backs of his human slaves. After awhile however a human who would later be known as FEARO led a rebellion against the Snake men and in the end King Hydras was killed… or was he? While he was certainly dealt a death blow, before he was able to breath his last breath his obedient advisor witch Priesthissss used her power to send him into a sort of mummified suspended animation. While she believed he would be brought back sooner then later things never go quite as planned. Thousands of years passed and King Hydras and his empire were nearly forgotten, until one day Hordak began meddling in ancient egypternian magic, freeing King Hydrass now a mummified slightly decomposed warrior named WRAPTOR!

My version is nearly done, its more detailed than I anticipated. King Hydras is also nearly done, but Wraptor comes first. He does have more than two snake appendages, but I'd drawn it ages ago. Hope it'll be ok.

Wow! Some great stuff here. I think Bearshows version looks like a 4Horsemen version of the character, while I could see bootleg's version being a pretty good Filmation version. Hope that makes sense!

And I can't wait to see what the other artists involved in this project have in store for us. The bar has been raised gentlemen!! Better bring your "A game"!
