    Bootleg Wallpaper: Skeletor and his Evil Warriors!

    for those who are not aware, i have been sketching various MOTU characters over in this thread:

    the focus, so far, has been on skeletor and his minions, and with today's post I've completed color sketches of the first two waves of bad guys from the original toyline, which is something of a mini-landmark achievement for me. I had always intended to try and make a wallpaper out of them so, here it is:

    I love the style and that every line doesn't have to be black, it was something I was excited to see marvel do when they stopped inking comics there for a while. You have a great fluid style and can't wait to see more. Kinda reminds me of Ed McGuiness style

    My fav is the zombified looking Faker, like a mindless robot should be haha.

    thank you for the comments everyone--the feedback is very encouraging!

    jasonwulf: that's quite a compliment, thanks! ed mcguiness is definitely an influence and inspiration, which is funny, because i think i read somewhere that he was really into drawing he-man as a kid. as for the color lines, i find that it really helps soften what might otherwise be a sketchy look to these pics.

    Doompuppet: believe it or not, that was actually one of my thoughts when i was making this! maybe when i get a ton more characters done, i'll do a massive "select screen" wallpaper, in honor of capcom.

    2-bad: i'm glad you like it! ok, i am officially moving 2-Bad to the top of the queue in my sketch thread! in this wallpaper, obviously skeletor gets the full body shot because he's the leader. but i was just wondering who should get the full body shot when i eventually do another wallpaper, when i read your comment. then it hit me--2-bad should be the 'leader' of the second group because he's the strategist! i would see two-bad as 3rd-in-command after evil lynn.
