I've got no idea. Probably just a model. All I know is that's not Michelle Ryan. Looks nothing like her.

I will defer to official sources over your recollection.

Why must everything be dark, gritty, and "realistic"? We could use a little more light in the world right now.

I love the Filmation MOTU because it isn't dark and gritty. If I want to see death and destruction, I can watch the news or 300. I watch MOTU because it's an action cartoon with very little consequences. Even the bad guys aren't really evil.

IDK, maybe I'm being sentimental, but I liked it when you could believe a young boy and his mentally challenged brother could travel to California accompanied by only one other minor and only suffer a minor skirmish with some video game nerds.

on the other hand, i'm a big maya the bee fan, so i digress.

maybe i'm just a big pansy.

on a side note, the Filmation Sorceress always reminded me of that hippie teacher in Billy Jack...

How about Michelle Pfeiffer for the Sorceress of Castle Grayskull?
It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

ok, i'm jukping into this thread way late and don't feel like reading through ALL the posts, but there are two names that come to mind for Beastie - Tyler Mane (he's already done a savage animalistic character in X-men, and he was a vicious brutal killer in Rob Zombie's version of Halloween. Throw some more fur on him and CG him an orange/brown color and we've got a feral Beastman ready to beat the tar out of He-man)
    or my first choice -
Paul Wight - over 7 feet tall, 450 pounds, naturally hairy, and with some makeup work he can be a HUGE non CG Beastman. I have a much better time believing that someone that big can boss around shadow beasts, ya know? besides, who wouldn't love to see Beastman towering over Skeletor and getting bossed around anyways?

I like that idea. But I still think I'm stuck on Laura Prepon. But for a 2nd choice, hands down, Rachel McAdams!! She's really great at pulling off the cocky attitude that would be perfect for Teela, not to mention, she's a great actress. She's proved she can do anything. I mean c'mon, she went from Mean Girls to Red Eye(Excellent!!). Not too many young actress' can pull that off. So yeah, I can stand behind Rachel McAdams as Teela...If Laura Prepon doesn't get it of coarse.

Cool! I'm not sure about Laura Prepon, but I won't raise a word against her. I guess I don't like her voice.

Instead, I have to support my candidate Rachel McAdams. I think she could be one strong option to play Teela. =)

I believe someone mentioned Marcia Cross as the Sorceress. That would be cool!

I'm still supporting Courteney Cox Arquette for Evil Lyn! There my two cents. =)

I'd prefer April Bowlby but Rachel McAdams would make a good Teela!!
Not sure about Courtney Cox as she's getting on a bit and we need actors who can stay on for sequels.

I'm still supporting Lucy Lawless for Sorceress.

Rachel McAdams is a little old for Teela, IMO (According to IMDB, she's 31.)

That's old if you stay close to the MYP cartoon. In other incarnation Teela usually looked about that age more or less.

What does getting on a bit means?

I like April in red hair. Beautifull blue eyes too.

Anyone has mentioned Bryce Dallas Howard?

    What about younger girls like:

    Rachel Hurd-Wood

Or this girl (wich dunno her name) from the movie The Perfume:

    Good point!

Thinking positive... make up can work miracles! Besides, how old you think Evil Lyn would be?

Don't wanna be itchie, I just really like Courteney a lot por the part.

In other hand... who would be older, Sorceress or Evil Lyn? (judging for the Classic Cartton and MYP Series)

Oh I think Miss Cox would make a great Evil Lyn.
I think both Sorceress and Evil Lyn should be about the same age.
So actors that are hitting or just past 30 would be ideal.
Teela would need to be in her twenties.

Actually, Courtney Cox would be great as Evil Lyn - but she would probably refuse it since she was in the 1987 MOTU movie and she would probably not want to do it again now that she is so famous. I mean, that movie was kind of trashy, so it would be hard to convince her that the new movie would be better.

    She's 43!!
If MOTU makes sequels, she will be 50-52 by the time the third movie comes.
I dunno about you guys but Evil Lyn demands serious hotness and teh ability to fight.
She's also had cologen done on her lips which is something I totally hate seeing.

Do you really think the MOTU will have sequels?

OK, thinking positive... YES, it will have! So you have a good point once again on the sequel stuff! Cologen done on her lips it's personal tastes. I wouldn't dismissed her because of than, I would consider the age thing though!

If you have a problem with actresses who have had cosmetic jobs done, that would leave you with... well, no one.

I've seen it, it could be really grose I admit! But she's not overdone yet! In case she goes overdone, ok, then I would add that fact to the list of why not, jaja
