I enrages me that despite the RnR HoF’s openmindedness to other forms of music they seem to maintain a palpable display of distan for metal. Bands like Maiden, Priet, etc sell out massive 80,000 stadiums all over the globe, yet they don’t pander to the elitists.

The Zombies & Roxy Music are long overdue, their complex musicianship alone gives them both the credibility. After The Zombies i don't see HOF inducting many more 60s acts, if any- Literally at the end of the alphabet. 60s bands Moby Grape & Quicksilver Messenger Service are greatly ignored in the world of rock- phenomenal musicians

Sorry by Kraftwerk ignored again. Other than The Beatles there's no other band as influential as them. HOF is a seat filler event anymore and I'd suspect Kraftwerk doesn't have the markability here in the states to sell tickets to the ceremony/dinner. B.S. I don't think they'd show up anyways, they'd send their robot counterparts if that.

Stevie Nicks? Really?! Again she will sell tickets to the event, but her individual accomplishments outside of Fleetwood? Her and Todd Rundgren were instant NOs for me.

Bands/Artists I'd like to see inducted
    Kraftwerk
    Big Country
    Depeche Mode
    Moby Grape
    Quicksilver Messenger Service
    Jan & Dean
    Peter & Gordon
    Chad & Jeremy

Charlotte Caffey, a member of several bands, including The Go-Go's, The Graces, and The Eyes, should have been inducted a long time ago, she's an extremely talented songwriter, singer, lead guitarist, keyboard player, and bass guitarist.

Future Rock Legends predicts the 2020 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees

    https://futurerocklegends.com/2020_N...redictions.php

Artists who have never been nominated...

Mötley Crüe - This will be a good test to determine of the Rock Hall Museum's Voice Your Choice kiosk really is a determining factor to getting on the ballot. Mötley Crüe have been eligible for years and haven't been able to get the Hall's attention, but behind this year's popular biopic, The Dirt, they have put themselves firmly in the conversation. If they don't get nominated this year, it will be a significant rebuke of the band from the Nominating Committee.

Iron Maiden - The Voice Your Choice kiosk's top two have been Mötley Crüe and Blink-182 for about six months, but Iron Maiden has been holding steady in the third spot. Since Blink-182 would be an unpalatable candidate for a lot of voters, the Hall may go with Iron Maiden, despite the band's threats to boycott the whole thing if they ever did get inducted. There are some who object to nominating Iron Maiden before Judas Priest gets in, but getting either of them inducted is a big win for metal representation. If Judas Priest didn't appeal to voters when they were on the ballot, you have to let Iron Maiden have a crack at it.

Joy Division / New Order - Last year's induction class was overflowing with UK bands, so the Nominating Committee probably has even more names on their short list. Whether these two bands should get nominated together or not is debatable, but like The Small Faces / The Faces, their induction chances greatly increase when they're bundled.

Beck - Beck was overlooked last year, but his credentials as a first ballot Hall of Famer haven't diminished. He should get a nomination this year.

Cyndi Lauper - Last year, Alan Light mentioned that Cyndi Lauper was in the conversation at the Nominating Committee meeting, but was put aside to make room for a Stevie Nicks nomination (Pat Benatar, the Go-Go's, and Eurythmics were also considered). Look for one of those names to surface this year. Despite being known for her 80's hits, Lauper's career has been long and varied and she continues to be firmly entrenched in the music industry.

Willie Nelson - Like Lauper, Willie Nelson has countless friends in the music industry and has cemented himself as a cultural icon. This year's appearance on the cover of Rolling Stone feels like the beginning of a career appreciation, which could include a Rock Hall nomination. Before the Nominating Committee meeting, Paul Shaffer disclosed that he would be advocating for Nelson this year.

Sonic Youth - Recent solo albums from Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon have kept Sonic Youth in the conversation, thirty-one years after their landmark album, Daydream Nation. Their lack of mainstream name recognition makes them a tough sell for those wanting big names for the HBO show, but their influence is too great to keep them off the ballot forever.

Whitney Houston - Janet Jackson's induction this year now allows the Rock Hall to turn its attention to other megastars of the 80s. Houston's popularity and influence over subsequent generation's singers can't be overstated.

Notorious B.I.G. - There are many Rock Hall worthy artists becoming newly eligible this year, but like 2Pac a few years ago, Biggie stands out as a hip hop icon and should get a nomination.

Oasis - If the Rock Hall wants months of free publicity, put Oasis on the ballot when Liam Gallagher is promoting his new album.

The Doobie Brothers - Many of us thought the Doobie Brothers were going to be nominated last year after Tom Johnston indicated that a Rock Hall induction is in their management's plans. The band's manager is Irving Azoff, who just happens to be on the Rock Hall Foundation's Board of Directors. What a system.

Artists who have recently been nominated...

    Rage Against the Machine

    Todd Rundgren

    The Meters

    The J. Geils Band

No surprise, but the 35th Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will once again be held at Public Hall in Cleveland in April 2020. The Rock Hall will also be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Museum.

There's a lot to unpack in this John Sykes interview, but this seems significant: "It’s time to take the hall to 2.0. That means a more diverse board, that means more women, people of color, people who reflect the kind of music that’s now being inducted."

Incoming Rock Hall Chairman John Sykes might’ve just confirmed The Notorious B.I.G. will appear on the 2020 ballot - “This year [rapper] Notorious B.I.G. is eligible and I think he has a good shot at getting in.”

Maiden is a good one, they've been shunned by Vincent Price and Frank Herbert over content and music but they left a hell load of legacy in the music industry, Maybe Motorhead should get nomination too.

All of these bands changed the landscape of Music.... but I think people won't let Notorious BIG going for nomination on his second years. Strangely enough his posthumous releases aren't that stellar compared to Big L or Tupac.
