New character I need help naming...

Ok so here is a character I had bumping around in my head... and I need a name for him. And also anyone else on here is more than welcome to take their own shot at drawing him. I would love to see what others may come up for this character. The current name I have for him is Animan, but I don't know if I like it. Another name I considered was Hodge-Podge, since he is a mixture of animals.

Background:


In an attempt to alter Beastman's natural ability to control animals, Skeletor commissioned Tri-klops to build him a device that could harness Beastman's powers through the Havok staff... the goal was to alter Beastman's powers enough that he could control humans against their will.

They captured their first test subject; an Eternian Royal Guardsman named Nayr (my first name backwards lol) and brought him before Skeletor. Tri-klops powered up his machine and a brilliant light came forth and shot in two directions. The first half of the beam hit Beastman and lifted him into the air... The second half shot straight into the Havok staff.

Skeletor held the staff high and chanted in an ancient language. Blackness filled the room as Skeletor aimed his staff at Nayr. Skeletor let out an evil cackle as a series of short energy blasts erupted from his staff and hit Nayr... all but one that is. The last blast was interrupted by He-man's power sword.

He-man fought off the evil warriors and brought Nayr back to the castle.

A short time later Nayr discovered a change in his body. When he got close to the animals of Eternia he began to take on characteristics of these animals for a short period of time. As time went on he discovered he could control these changes and call upon these abilities at will, provided the animal was within a certain distance to his person.

Whatever danger he faces he always has faith that his new found ability will guide him to safety. No river is too deep as he can take on the gills and fins of any nearby aquatic animal. No mountain is too high, for he can sprout wings and fly at will. No man is too strong, because he can take on the strength of a bear. With the animal kingdom's powers at his call, he fights alongside the Masters Of the Universe!

How about Shiftor or Evo?

Morph-Man?

Change-or?

Man-Beast?

Creature-Features?

Wildside?

Feralus?


Lol, maybe I should think about that some more....

What about naming him Beast-Changer or Shaper?

Animal + amalgam = animalgam?

I like Manimal or Animor better than Animan - you could do something like Zoo-Or, but that's kind of close to Zoar to really work well.

Man-beast would also work fairly well, as he's sort of an "other-side-of-the-coin" version of Beast-man.

Well, Rain, do you prefer a name ending with OR?

I like Manimal and Animan the best and in that order. I like this guy a lot he's like a nautral versus of Manchine Man, I mean totally different, but I could totally see the two facing off in a rather awesome versus picture.

I like the sound of this guy. No idea what you should name him though.

I was leaning toward Manimal until you reminded me of that monstrosity...

So far several good ideas! Thanks guys. Still not sure on a final name though.

Patreek: So true the two would make for an awesome battle pic. Anyone want to take a crack at that! I hadn't seen Machine Man until you mentioned him here... then I had to go and read his bio.

Glass Shrimp: I actually love that names idea, very clever! Doesn't roll off the tongue to easy though lol

I like the name Creature Features! ^_^ It reminds me of such great rhyming names as Snout Spout and Clamp Champ!

So far, I think I like Animalgam the best. Some great ideas from everyone though.

Also seriously if anyone wants to tackle drawing this character facing off against Machine Man that would be awesome! Or this character facing off against Beastman, that would be sweet too!

I like where you're going with CreatuOR... but the only way to get it pronounced right consistently would be to write it phonetically... like Creachor, or Creech-or, which starts getting pretty close to the Todd McFarlane / Greg Capullo comic book character Creech... so...

Or you could go Kreachor, or something like that ... different spelling, same sound ...

not sure about Creator it sounds good when spoken, but the spelling doesn't work for me.

Anyone have any color ideas... I was thinking white, black and red.

From what I've heard, Kreachor is my favorite.

Kreachor reminds me too much of Kreacher, the Harry Potter character... And Harry Potter controls our society far too much as it is... It's everywhere!!! We don't need more reminders of it lol

I love Harry Potter
