HOW do I put an AVATAR (Icon)?

Hi!
It's been a while I have been on this forum; a year or so. However, despite my relatively long experience with forums (I have been registered to four in all; three, including He-Man.org, are still living), I've never been able to put any icon below my forum name, in this forum; in the "view profile", there is nothing, no square to provide me to put an avatar, though almost everyone here has one. So, how do I put an avatar?

Help threads are on top of each forum.
