And a dark age came upon the Universe of the Masters of Etheria and Eternia..

For it was the reign of the Evil Horde, the reign of... HORDE PRIME!!

Yees... the 81'st Redesign Challenge brings to life the most evil being in all of the Universe,
a creature comepletely devoid of any good, without compassion or mercy.

Horde Prime is a mysterious being burning with an intense desire to conquer
the entire universe and subjugate it to his will.

Founder of the Evil Horde, he may very well be the most feared and powerful of any evil beings in the known universe.

Not much is known about him, and there are quite a few theories about him, ranging from both the outlandish
, the sinister, and the outright hilarious. From him being Hordaks older brother to having two heads
and the ability to grow to the size of a planet!

Dark God, sinister techno-magician, or a crippled, deluded old man? You decide...

The initial deadline for this challenge is a little bit longer than ussual, instead of two weeks, it's at ONE MONTH! : )

And here are, as ever, the rules:

All people who choose to participate will have two weeks to come up with a redesign for this character. You can use any medium you wish. You can sketch, paint make a 3-D model, make a sprite, make a custom action figure, whatever you want. Its entirely up to you!

As well, you don't have to force yourself to make your design conform to the new cartoon or comic book's style. Be as drastic in your redesign as you see fit. Whatever makes you happy.
If you can't think of a new design, or just hate the idea of working on this character, you do not have to feel obligated to participate in this particular challenge. You will still be free to participate in any future challenges you wish.

not sure i am happy with this but i have a few weeks to play around...so i figure i post this anyway..i wanted to compine elements that looked like the horde symbol to something that was both old and new hordak...

anyway here it is (nothing like previous versions)

The images below are from my story on the Fan-Art Board entitled Dark Legacies

In keeping with the theme of the original shows, I didn't want him to be seen in totality. In my mind, though, he was coated with blood-red metal (in his "younger days"). You may also note that he has two heads, again in keeping with the original shows.

[NOTE: The images were created by modifying existing characters created by the wonderfully talented Gbagok, which he allowed me to use for Dark Legacies . The concept behind his appearance is my own, since Gbagok presented a different vision some time back.]

Everytime I see that comic reference of Horde Prime...it's so ridiulous that it is hilarious...

But what about the fact that Horde Prime is supposed to have TWO heads??

Well, that's certainly an all new look for Horde Prime..!

Interesting to note, is that he appears to be quite young? Is this perhaps a young Prime, in the formative stages of his giant empire?

I think I agree on the whole not being seen entirely thing. Even tho my preference for Prime is from the comic, I really believe that the dark mysterious presence really adds to his character.

well...i was thinking about how much hordak hated magic in the cartoon....and since so little is known about horde prime and i never really read the comics i have a different idea of him in my mind i guess...

quick version...Him and hordak are brothers..hordak is actually older...he becomes more powerful and takes over leaving hordak only etheria...because of his failure on eternia... hordak hates magic because his younger brother is a very powerful magic user..

Hey, I've got a special request guys. I can't find any pictures of Horde Prime's giant Filmation-fist? And I think it really needs to be referenced, since it's probably what a lot of fans relate to Prime.

Also, any more pictures of Horde Prime from the comic would be appreciated, since he had several colour-schemes there. And, it also shows that he appeared to have the power to change his size in the comic, too.

Horde Prime is character I never liked. Hordak is evil enought to lead without any supreme commander. But as a founder of evil Horde and teacher of Hordak Horde prime would make perfect sense. In my universe he's only character from the past and nowdays deceased (prob. in the hands of Hordak...)

You guys rock! I think your works are reaaly cool and so close that what must be Horde Prime (which we can only imagine like a kind of nightmare). And I not judging anyone or anything, any of you have a really cool vision of it, but according to me, the version which makes Horde Prime more than a giant or an identity is Gbagok's. It take sort of God's aura... If I just can say it.
