Vote for the glorious presence of the Horde Prime! pt1

Greetings, fellow worshipper of the empire supreme, the lord of all, the HORDE PRIME!

We shall here today, determine who has clad our lord in his finest new armour of total superiority.

The polls will be open for 3 days each, and then I will cull the two or maybe 3 best from each poll,
and have them settle trough mortal combat who is the better leader of the Horde.

Here my humble comments as I mostly waited for this tread to show to properly express my view alltogether:

Telkan2
Adding the gloomy castle in the fog really make your take on Horde Prime menacing as it point out how colossal he is. This reddish giant sure look mean!

Wolfsfang
So little left of his organic form, that sure point out how far denaturalized your Horde Prime is. Like we discussed earlier a Davros like, nearly crippled power monger is a very interesting take. Show how much latitude we had with this concept!

Gatchagrey
Cool to see a more demonic, almost ghostly take beside the more technological one. The hovering head give much ghoulish quality to this piece.

2-bad
Seems your version is as weathered and crooked as an old tree, steady, powerful yet vicious. The priest like robe give him a nice, evil solemnity.

Yaoi HuntressE
The vaporous, multi-armed versions with these blades like claws have a very mythological aspect, very ethereal and mesmerizing.

Bootleg
Having Horde Prime retro-modeled after the very Horde crest is brilliant, and so his the towering, monolitic mound and statuestheque body that go along!

Prime
Ultimate power surely corrupted this one! The distorted, gruesome shapes he suffers really stand out as a sorcerer bent too far on evil ways. The quality of the render and twisted (literally) concept really makes this entry stand out!

OOOPS! No, it was certainly not.

It stands corrected, so no cheap victory for you Bo! I think this one might actually be one of the most well-earned ones in the history of the challenge.

Ya see I much preferred bootleg's earlier Horde Prime to the final version. Otherwise I would've gone for that.
But I think Prime has got to get the vote.
Horde Prime (though I always found the charter rather pointless) needs to be other worldly and totally different from all the other humanoid versions.

This vote was incredibly difficult! I love Prime's, Bootleg's, and 2-Bad's renditions a lot, but I could only pick one, so I went with Prime's haunting and incredibly detailed pencil work in this round. Great work from everyone, though!

Another fantastic batch this one, and I was going to look at the polls and decide late in the game on this one.. BUT, as I just looked on the polls, I noticed that Prime, 2-bad and Bootleg were almost tied! Only one vote away for Bootleg to be tied... SO, I just voted Bootleg. Makes things a bit interesting.

thank you so much for the comments and votes everyone! these are all fantastic entries, and i hope this many people turn out for the next challenge.

Telkan2: i love the epic scale! i only wish we got to see a close up of his face.

Dr Bo: very cool... the dark color scheme, and his evil, haunted face make for a striking imager. love the modified horde symbols.

wolfsfang: monstrous, robotic, and alien... a great combination of traits! and i'm a big fan of exposed brain in a bowl!

gatchagrey: most everyone else made their horde prime look more decrepit than hordak, but there is something creepy and incredibly striking with the idea of horde prime having a healthier more youthful appearance than his younger sibling. the smoke, filmation-style colors (i love filmation!) and fantastic wingspan, all make for an excellent effect. great work!

2-bad: great work, as we have all come to expect from you, my friend! he somehow looks both powerful and emaciated at the same time. the colors are wonderfully subtle--and that dash of purple on his robes really adds something. his monster antlers and the modified horde symbol are fantastic details.

Yaoi HuntressE: this is a great redesign, fitting in perfectly with your shojo-like motu/pop universe. he's got an inhuman appearance, while retaining some of that bishonen look. the cyber arms and wispy smoke are great nods to the filmation version.

Prime: it's the one that got my vote. creepy, threatening, and utterly alien, executed with beautiful draftsmanship.

I second that notion! All of these are great designs. I voted for bootleg with all thos variations.And I love the fact that his head is actuall of the same shape as the Horde logo. Thats what got me to vote for him.
