I have returned. . .

You probably don't recognize me. What if I told you I used to go by the username Mark_Palenik (or maybe it was MarkPalenik)? You probably still don't recognize me. I think I only had about 100-200 posts here, averaging about 0.1 posts per day.

Anyway, I tried logging in a few days ago with an account that I probably haven't used since around May 2004, only to find that it had vanished without a trace, so I decided to sign up with a new one.

Why He-Jutsu? Well, using my real name just seems kind of lame when nobody else does. But you might be wondering if He-Jutsu is a reference to some obscure part of the He-Man toy line. No, it isn't. I do a little bit of MMA/Brazilian Jiu-jutsu as one of my hobbies, and He-Jutsu sounded more badass than "He-physics-grad-student" or any of the other things I do.

I remember returning after having gone to war...and everyone was different. All of the people that I used to know disappeared. Everyone I'm sure hung out after IMing each other and they have established their network. I hope you don't feel as weirded out as I did when I came back. ANyways perfect timing welcome back!

Cool, but I didn't have nearly as good of an excuse for disappearing as you did, I just got bored and stopped posting. I think I recognize a few people here, though, and I actually just talked to someone from back in the day a few months ago on AIM. But, yeah, things do seem different.
