MotU Redesign Challenge #82 - Clawdeen

The lot has fallen upon Catra's feisty feline steed to get redesigned for the new millenia. =)

The way I see it, you who redesign Clawdeen can make up your own mind if it's a boy or a girl.

The deadline is in two weeks, which should be around the 10th of June.

The rules are as EVER:
All people who choose to participate will have two weeks to come up with a redesign for this
character. You can use any medium you wish. You can sketch, paint make a 3-D model,
make a sprite, make a custom action figure, whatever you want. Its entirely up to you!

As well, you don't have to force yourself to make your design conform to the new OR OLD cartoon &
comic book's style. Be as drastic in your redesign as you see fit. Whatever makes you happy.
If you can't think of a new design, or just hate the idea of working on this character,
you do not have to feel obligated to participate in this particular challenge.
You will still be free to participate in any future challenges you wish.

Like Judeh said, everybody just posts their designs in this thread and receives comments and praise by their fellow artists.

Really my girls want me to finish all the work that's on my plate so I can paint them their favorite Jedi Women, finish the PoP designs, and the Nutcracker series I hope to do for them someday.

Clawdeen is LOW on that priority list unfortunately.

well i am not use to drawing animals..and i will prolly end up revising this but i thought i post this anyway in hopes it inspires some interesting entries...i thught clawdeen would be cool as a chinese lion... anyway here is my quick drawing

Hey Gatcha! Good to see you could join us. That's certainly among the last things I expected to see, Clawdeen looking like a lion out of Chinese myth. A very inspiring and unusual entry for sure.

i hope baena changes his mind with a quick sketch his battle cat redesgn is one of my favorite paintings from him

and i am still playing with the design and colors but that will be the basic drawing...the legs need alot of work and i may add some armor too..but i wanted to get this in early so that maybe we wil see some other chinese lions too..i just think that is cool direction to take clawdeen to seperate her/him from the crowd...

Well I like the notion of a hairless lion! I hate hairless cats in real life so this is just the right amount of creepy. :P Catra seems like the kind of girl who likes those hairless freaks. >.<

Aw, Munky, why not go with a japanese Lion instead? Like they're drawn in japanese folk-art?

Or, why not an INDIAN lion? Could be something right there.


Wolfsfang: Great-looking lion! Do I detect a weak hint of asian in there somewhere?

Gatchagrey: I think you should limit the colour-holds/soft outlines to Clawdeens fuzzy fur, and keep the rest regular black. At least definitely no soft outlines on the iron saddle.

Btw, I truly believe that I need to contact the cat-men on this board, DestrongerLupus & WingedSiamese, this would be a redesign right up their alley, wouldn't you all say?
