    Motu Redesign challenge #83 - LOO-KEEEEE!!! ^^

    LOO-KEE!!! : D

Indeed. The time has come for Loo-kee to enter the new millenia,
with a fresh new look for a fresh new world.

Loo-Kee is sort of a little spy or voyeur, that spies on He-man and She-Ra. He is completely impossible to detect
    thanks to his magic abilities.

He knows quite a bit about both the Rebellion and the Horde, thanks to his abilities..

He is not the only one of his kind however, he actually belongs to a race called the 'Conceals.'
They all seem to have similar abilities to himself.

    Read more about him here:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loo-Kee

    Toy -

    The rules are as EVER:
All people who choose to participate will have two weeks to come up with a redesign for this
character. You can use any medium you wish. You can sketch, paint, make a 3-D model,
make a sprite, make a custom action figure, whatever you want. Its entirely up to you!

As well, you don't have to force yourself to make your design conform to the new OR OLD cartoon &
comic book's style. Be as drastic in your redesign as you see fit. Whatever makes you happy.
If you can't think of a new design, or just hate the idea of working on this character,
you do not have to feel obligated to participate in this particular challenge.
You will still be free to participate in any future challenges you wish.

YUP! It's Loo-Kee.. ^^ Hey, Judeh, I remember you did several PoP-designs a few years back, with Imbeta. Did you ever get to Loo-Kee in the lineup? If you did, then this would be a great opportunity to reveal it, if not, then it would be an even better opportunity to give it a shot!

i think loo-kee would look cool as an anthropomorphic raccoon type character. his tail always reminded me of one anyway

Patreek: Hmm.. yes, what could you be cookin' there..?

TheBlock: Welcome to the Challenge! Let's see that idea that you've got!

Nightboy1984: Sounds like a cool idea, hope to see it.

PLUS: I've gotten in contact with a surprise-artist that's going to surprise the whole lot of ya'! I'm quite pleased that he is able to return for a guest-appearance in the Redesign Challenges.

Hrrm, the little lad does get around quite a bit, now doesn't he? XD I hope you'll be joining the Challenge SMB? I think it could be quite good fun with a Chibi Loo-Kee, the nature of the character even makes it so that it'll be hard to tell he's Chibi even!

He *does* certainly have the potential for being a rather creepy dude, now doesn't he? ^^ Sounds like it'll be smashin', mate.

Hopefully we'll have some sketches coming in a day or two, so the thread will start to liven up.

Have to post this before I get dazzled with J-Suns work.

My Loo-Kee does't belong race of conceals. He's distant relative to Stinkor.
Will do commissions for loose 200X Evillyn or Roboto. Guarantee: if not happy with pic, no need to send fig!

I'll see what I can do fella. Getting married next month, so my spare time is practically dwindled. However if I get to do it, I promise it will bring out the true side of Loo-Kee.... the little....

Well, I havent really got a bio or anything written, but I kinda imagine Loo-Kee as an ancient forest guardian who gained mystical powers from Light hope himself & continues to overlook whispering wood. He sorta has two forms but he only uses the evelved form when the matter is of utmost urgence & if he needs to do battle. Otherwise he uses his regular small form to his advantage while spyting. The peices of clot hanging from his arm bands allow himself to be camauflauges. Like the green to take cover in the bushes, the blue inside water & hence forth. His evolced form also has great speed & reflexes & he uses the cloth as a counter attack.I decided to use slightly desaturated colors rather than the bright ones so the actuall helps him camoflauge himself.

...Anyway, enought jabbering, here's my version of Loo-Kee in both forms. Hope you like.

Moni: That was rather unexpected, for sure. So, does he still have that ability to camouflage himself, or is he just a regular Pelleezean? ( yes, I had to look it up in the universe guide)

Munky: Getting married?? Well, congratulations on the engagement! I hope you get some time for scribbling, but I definitely understand if you don't, with a schedule like that.

2-bad: Yikez! Those are some really creepy eyes he's sportin' there! Like he's staring all the time. So you see him as a bit of a shape-changer? And whenever he wants to blend in, those two cloth-pieces work as either regular cover for his smaller form, or as magical cover?

The eyes on the smaller Loo-Kee are wicked creepy but somehow it just fits him perfectly!

Well I just decided to quick enter, but I have to say I am inlove with 2bads version. I just had to add him to my list so I figured I would do him too.

    Here he is...

I edited him cuz I wanted to go with a more updated look and feel as opposed to all animal.
    Hope that's ok.

BTL! Smashin'! Very happy that that you could join us, BTL. I see that you went for a perhaps somewhat more traditional Loo-Kee.

He seems to be more around the same size as a human tho, am I right?

Kind of interesting that on a second glance he's more cat-like than before. I had some ideas about making him a sort of half-cat myself.

And lookee' what I found! Courtesy of Avril on these boards, the Loo-Kee Design Sheet!

Alright, this is my first time entering a challenge so be gentle. Things were a little slow at work so I did a drawing of Loo-Kee, I based it off of the idea I have for a 200x custom. I didn't realize it at the time but the pose is almost a duplicate of the design sheet I guess because it's the last thing I had seen. I might try to color it in the next few days but I haven't decided on that yet.

AWESOME Radrcks! Fresh new blood is the, uh, life-blood of this challenge!

So, Is he more of a raccoon then? What with the black stripe around the eyes and everything.

Interesting that you went for a slightly more muted colour-scheme, cutting out a colour or two. It even looks a bit like Prince Adam red and a similar west, I think?

I liked the idea of him being more animal than creature and I think the raccoon look worked better for him because not only do I see him as more of a spy but also a scavenger, you know like stealing parts from certain Horde constructs to keep them from working or to give the Rebellion a better look on what they're going up against.

I think the only color I left out was yellow. I think the muted colors work better because I know Etheria is supposed to be a colorful place, but what are the chances that he'd always find neon red, yellow, green and blue things to hid in? Muting it mad it seem more earthy.

Of course the poor little guy has to protect himself if he needs to and I can't see him really using weapons so I gave him armor plating on the shoulders (I swear some day I'll redesign someone with out giant metal shoulder pads mark my words) and knee pads. I also thought it would be a good idea if for times when he absolutely had to defend himself the best thing to do would be to give him steel toed spikes on his boots. That way he could use them for defense and that they would be effective enough to just sstun the person long enough for him to escape.

This will undoubtedly draw comparisons to 2-bad's design (which is awesome IMO), but I sketched this before any of the submissions (except Monikasvo's) were posted. The similarities, especially the hair, are pretty striking though. However unlike 2-bad I think Loo-Kee should be a child somewhere between ten and early teens. I imagine he's part of a species of extremely illusive creatures who are quite adept at hiding in the Etherian forests. I kept the colors fairly vibrant, only toning down the red. He was always a very colorful character and I didn't want to take that away. Anyway pardon the sketchiness and sloppy colors I didn't get to spend much time on it.
