Wow, I never thought this character would yield so many cool designs(and all so different from each other)!

Here's one I drafted a while back for the currently on hold Tours of Etheria. I was going for an agile leemur like race of Whispering Wood dwellers, hence the monkey-ish feet:

Aaauugh! That's seriously the most disturbing version yet! A completely new vision of Loo-Kee.

You mention that he has magical powers as well? What do you wager those are?
Then my job is done! Honestly I never watched POP so I don't really know that he does or not . I just figured if he's good at spying he must be hard to detect. Originally I was working on another state of him behind some foliage and you would clearly see his big cheshire cat smile beneath the bushes while some Horde Trooper stomping around trying to find him, but I was on a deadline so I couldn't get it done soon enough.

Wow gbagok, your Lookee looks amazing! I always love how your re-designs look like they would have been on the Mike Young productions updated characters had it lasted longer!
Visit my art page at: http://theblock.deviantart.com/ , if you like my work and have an account there to, feel free to fave or watch me, I could use the street cred !

OK here is a very quick sketch, with an even quicker color add.

I decided to do something completely different. I wanted Loo-Kee to have a function, so he is kind of a scout. He has the power of concealment, so he has somewhat darker, more earth-toned colors for camouflage. He also has the power to spy, so I gave him some goggles to add to his special vision-spy powers. Oh, and his puffy, "wishing troll" hairdo is pulled into a ponytail for practical purposes.

I hope that gives some idea as to what I was going for. if one of the more artistically inclined would like to take a shot at refining the look, have fun.

That's certainly a different take, but he still retains his basic function, of warning the rebellion.

I guess your Loo-Kee sometimes gets his hands dirty and joins the fight?
I also notice that he has a rainbow-gauntlet or wrist-guard there, does it do something special?

Yeah, I'm starting to think that he's got a sort of Plundor the spoiler -like quality to him. He's a bit silly, so you can just go wild.

Here's one I drafted a while back for the currently on hold Tours of Etheria. I was going for an agile leemur like race of Whispering Wood dwellers, hence the monkey-ish feet:
Coolness! Glad you could join us in the challenges once more, G.b.

The lemur-thing quite makes sense, that he's agile so he can move freely in the surrounding, but I must admit I'm not quite fond of the visual, with the ape-feet. Dig the ears and hair tho.

this is another really amazing round of entries--i'm a little surprised that loo-kee would inspire as much creativity as shokoti and horde prime!

here's my entry (sorry for the hold up, and thanks to our kind master of ceremonies, Predabot, for pushing the deadline):

My re-design of Loo-Kee isn't terribly drastic--I made his rainbow-colored 80's leg warmers and wristbands into armored braces made of gold and engraved precious stones, and tied his feathered mullet back into a pony tail. I made his overall details a bit more feral and bestial, and armed him with two daggers--I figure Loo-Kee is probably able to handle himself in a fight if he's a rebel spy in a war against the Horde. Hopev you all like my take on the little guy--comments and crits welcome.

Bootleg & J-sun: About darn time, you..!

Bootleg: Love it, he looks like an ornery little creature. Love what you did with the rings.

J-sun: Looks like yours has a truly feral soul, underneath that cute exterior..!

Anyways, thanks for your entries, lads. The polls are coming up within minutes..!

Here is my original concept for Loo-Kee. He's a bit older looking and has more human porportions SO he looks a bit strange when I place in a size relation guide with the other characters. Anyways, I figured I should share it since I spent the time on it.

I was wondering when you'd pop in, Rainbow Brite. I was actually thinking about PM'ing you to make sure you got to see this perticular challenge.

And these guys on the board have certainly done a good job indeed. Makes me feel proud of being the organizer of these challenges.
