    Greetings from a newbie

    Hello,

I am a big classic MOTU fan ever since I was little. I especially remember reading those mini comic/story books as a kid and I was fascinated by the wonderful stories. I have been visiting this amazing site since the 2002 line came out, but I never had the courage to join any on-line forum because I am an awkward, introverted geek. However, after reading about news of King Greyskull and the new MOTUC line, I decided to join this wonderful community to show my support and my absolute excitement for the new line. I hope the new line will be a huge success and I will see many of my favourite MOTU characters make a wonderful comeback.

Since I am new to this community, please kindly be patient with me and point me to the right direction if I make any stupid mistake.
    Thank you all.

Wow. Thank you all for the warm welcomes!
I thought that this thread would die quietly (with no reply) in a month or so. I am so happy to see kind people reaching out to a newbie like me and making me feel like home. Thank you very much.
I just read the thread about the MattyCollector.com and saw the new pictures of He-Man and Beast Man. They look even better than what I have pictured. It is truly wonderful. I am so happy to see my favourite toy line coming back again! I hope that you are all enjoying this exciting and wonderful time just like I am.
Hope I will see you around in other threads.

Glad to have you here! Like you - I really enjoyed the mini-comics as a kid and played with my figures based off of those stories more so than the Filmation cartoon. I think I still read those comics too often (at least that is what my wife tells me).

Where are you from? I noticed that you didn't put your location in your profile.

Hello, nice to meet you, Midwinter. I am from Canada. Those mini-comics are wonderful, aren't they? I was hooked on He-Man before I saw any cartoon. So before I met Prince Adam, Duncan and Orko, the world of MOTU to me was the world depicted in those early mini-comics. I especially love the first four books illustrated by Alcala (and the comic that comes with Point Dread). The removable armor of He-Man and the two halves of the Power Sword depicted in those stories made the toys that much more fun to me as a kid (take off He-Man's power armor and even Mer-Man can beat him!). Even though I was also into the TV series and the new interpretation of MOTU world (with Prince Adam as He-Man), those original mini-comics will always have a special place in my heart. That is why I am so excited about MOTUC line. Looking at the pictures of new Mer-Man, Zodac and the gang just brings back lots of good memories.

Thank you for your post and hope to see you in other threads.
