New Jersey Anyone?

It's been a long time since I've been on the boards, but I was wondering if anyone from Jersey still got together at least on the boards. Shout out if we still do!

Does the New Jersey contingency ever gather?

Almost 5 years ago we used to...we met once way up in a mall in North Jersey, but we should all get together again. I've got plenty of space at my place, or we could meet at the Ocean County Mall, or another place, but we Jersey-ors should get together. Show our support/collections!

Has it really been five years already?! Gosh, where did the time go. You must be talking about The Jersey Masters, in which Denjme was the founder.

Some of the members, I still kept in touch with. Namely DenJme, Dedd Vynil who's in MA now. And iceman51880. The mall was Willowbrook Mall, in front of the now close arcade of Fun n' Games!

Anyway, hopefully the new line will start-up the Jersey Masters once again. I was just buggin Denjme to start another meet-up but I guess he's busy nowadays.

No kidding. I remember it like it was four years ago. It was my first and only meet up with people from the board.

Sweet. I do wonder how many time we might have interfered in each other's toy hunting expeditions.

We should definitely hold a Jersey Org meetup/drinkup some time.

Yeah...that would be awesome....you've probably seen me carefully waiting for everyone to clear out of aisles before I go in cause I'm embarrassed that little kids watch me...It's been so long since we got together, it would be great to do it again. I'm always up for an excuse to go drinkin' too....

Hahahaha. I'm the same way. I try to make my Target/WalMart runs during my lunch break or before work. Oh the things I do to hide my habit.

LOL...I do the same thing...actually, one time, I told someone that I was looking for my kid....lol....I was in the aisle, suit and tie, looking at toys, and this kid was looking at me. So I turned and said, "Would you play with this?"....lol. It was a bunch of Stars Wars stuff I wanted. I felt so weird, but it needed to be done.

God, I thought I was the only one who got embarassed in the toy aisles! This board is very therapeutic! I have never been to a masters get together/drinkfest, I would love to do so if one ever gets off the ground. I would be willing to put in an effort to get one together, so if anyone is interested...

And there's nothing worse than seeing some little brat walk off with something that you want. I saw this little kid had the Airborne Ranger variant/error from the GI Joe VvV line, and had to trick him into picking up the regular version. That might have been my lowest moment in toy searching.

These days, most of my toy hunting goes for JLU guys at Target. It's really feast or famine. Let's definitely work together and prove to the board why NJ is the Masters State.

A friend of mine once told this kid that he's from the Toy Police 'cuz the kid was holding a rare Star Wars fig. that had been recalled and he's not allowed to have it! Of course when the kid called he's dad, he had to run out of TRU!

Wow....and here I was thinking that I was the weird one. I haven't been that bad recently, but I am not above hiding toys in the aisles or tricking little kids out of their prize. Well, if anyone from Jersey is interested my wife and I are having people over for Halloween at the end of October (October 25th to be precise) and figured that this would be a great time to show of He-Man and get drunk...I'll be doing both that day anyway, so if anyone's interested send me a pm...the house is big enough.

That would be cool...keep us posted. If I can make it, there's a tray of my buffalo chicken dip in it for you.

So what toys do you guys keep at your desk? I have random posters, like Captain Hook and Richard Pryor, but toy wise its pretty scant. I just have a 12" Green Arrow from the JLU line.

At my desk, nothing really. Down at the bar though in my house I keep a He-man/Battlecat original and some random figures in the left drawer of the bar.

How I miss the NJ Crew! I tried like three or four times to get something going in Boston -nothing doing. But yeah, it was really cool back in the day. There were four meetups altogether, I believe. Once at the mall, once at Denjme's place, once at (I forget your name but you and your girlfriend had just moved in to a new house and had the most action figures I have ever witnessed in my life, and it was the first time I saw She-Ra) , and once at ( a couple who were really nice folks who had part of Eternia but I had to leave because I was allergic to their cat) towards Atlantic City. Grt Etrnl I still email now and then.....you guys should have another meet up, it was great fun.

New here and also from Jersey. I would be down for a meet.
