I emailed them months ago but never got a reply. I guess they still have read the message, though. I also mentioned that my friend would buy a Filmation soundtrack as well.
Hope this helps in the realisation of this project.

Speaking about the music tracks I don't think we've ever discussed what the tunes in MOTU are called.

There are loads of great background tracks used throughout the series and here is my list of named tunes.

1 - Skeletor/ Evil villain theme - Used as introduction to villain or when villains attack. Usually this tune was played out to the full when seperate villains ie Jarvan, Hexon & Count Marzo made an appearance. used aswell for Skeletor&warriors

2 Snake mountain/Evil fortress theme. again Count Marzo and usually snake mountain we heard this dramatic powerfull sounding theme.

3 - Good Guys/Bad Guys attack - Used for chase scenes or palace attacks.

4 - Story or eerie place music - used when exploring woods,castles, plot scenes.

5 - Adventure Theme - used sometimes when exploring or helping escape from bad guys.

Do you have an idea as to what you would call the tunes or is there an offical title for them all?

Hope you can add some light on the subject.

Well, we are waiting for a full soundtrack CD for more than 20 years now, I think they also should put he-man back on the air

The problem is that the only CD that was released didn´t have all the soundtracks, only the soft ones.

What about the action themes??

Now that would be awesome, the only way I can hear the music I like is seeing the cartoons, but I didn´t want to hear the character´s voices hehe

What CD are you talking about? Was there a CD already released for the Filmation cartoon?

If there is still a possibility, I'm all for a Filmation Soundtrack CD!!!

yeah some of the background "static" themes are easily found, but the main action songs are nowhere.

I sent Classic Media the following email about a week ago:

To whom this would concern at Classic Media:

Hello!
I am a HUGE FAN of Shuki Levy's HE-MAN / SHE-RA COMPLETE SCORES from 1983 and 1985 series respectively.
And I would LOVE more than anything to acquire a copy of these COMPLETE SCORES/SOUNDTRACKS for my own personal enjoyment, but unfortunately, they are nowhere to be found... anywhere.

Now it seems that you, Classic Media, owns the rights to both of these series: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe; and She-Ra, Princess of Power.

Is there any possible way I would be able to gain a quality copy of these COMPLETE scores/soundtracks? Even if it were only for "educational purposes?" ...because I would love, love, love to be able to listen to each and all of them in their beautiful and magnificent entireties. It seems that any sort of "official" releases of these fabulous scores/soundtracks aren't anywhere on the horizon...or are they?

I am such a HUGE FAN of these wonderful compositions! PLEASE, please, please, can you help me acquire a copy of these soundtracks?
Any info you have to offer regarding these scores/soundtracks (originally created by Shuki Levy for both series) would be greatly appreciated.

A Filmation soundtrack is definitely my most wanted MOTU/POP item by far.
I would absolutely love it if it became available in any form.
It would cost very little to release them digitally. I know many of you would like a physical CD but i can't see that happening, i doubt it would be profitable enough.

And yet, they still have no interest.

I think the best chance this soundtrack has at seeing the light of day is when the new movie arrives, and MOTU is mainstream again. They'll be scrambling to release anything to capitalize on the hype.

I LONG for a soundtrack. i think really the only way we'll get one is it some god of a man goes through each episode, and cuts out the sections where there is music playing, but no sound sfx/dialogue then over the course of the whole show try and price together a complete long from all the snippets.

Coming from someone who likes both, Filmation's MOTU has a great deal more fans than the 1987 movie did. If the movie soundtrack sold out, the cartoon's will probably sell out in half the time.

If I could get a good CD of the music, IF it was made, I would be ALL over this cd so quick it wouldn't even be funny. I wouldn't mind if someone sent a bunch of names of ALL of us that would want the CD and see where that takes us with the company. I know it won't work that much but its worth a try always.
