New York Comic Con 2009: Who's going?

I'll be there. Not sure yet if i'll be dressed up.

Not sure yet. Some friends are trying to get me to go (even offered me some of their table space), but I'm still undecided...

I'm going up to NY in a couple weeks for an SNL show, so I guess it all depends on how much money I spend while I'm up there

My wife & I are definitely going again. It actually (in our experience, anyway) has gotten better each year. Not sure about costumes or not yet, but we'll definitely be there for the Saturday.

My brother's going, but there's a huge chance I'm not. I just can't afford anything.

Had a stronger chance of going when Faker wasn't going to be the March figure as well as the NYCC.

If the two Fakers are different enough, I might still go. If they won't be different (or different enough), I probably won't. He was my real only reason for going.

I will be there and I may even dress up this year... we'll see how the working out goes haha...

Edit: February? Why so early?! That doesn't give me much time!!! lol

Hopefully I will get to go this year! That would be fun!

I always make the Pittsburgh show, but never the New York one.

some time I need to venture out of my comfort zone and hit up NY.

Im going as Batman! My group will have Joker, Harley, Scarecrow and Poison Ivy!

I'd love to go, I've always wanted to visit New York, anybody want to come get me, all you'd have to do is come to California, pick me up and take me with you, then bring me back home again.

How likely is that I wonder?

Last year was really good, and to my mind it's improved over the past three years. (Granted, last year was in April, which helped enormously, IMO.) If it stays on par with last year in terms of crowds, vendors, panels, etc, I'll be happy.

I have to admit, though, having Mattel as an exhibitor makes a big difference to me!

Sounds like fun, but my wife and I live in a corner of the country that makes all 3 big ones (NY, WWC, and SDCC) too far, unless we plan way in advance, save up lots of money, and have time off work. We have to make due with smaller local stuff.

Hopefully that'll all change when we move to Lexington. Then a drive up to Chicago or NY isn't THAT bad.

Yeah, we went to visit the inlaws a few weeks ago and it's such a great town and way cheaper to live up there.

Yikes -- I live in Pennsylvania and I still take a plane when I go to NYC.

We don't have that kinda money.

Any updates? I will be there, i'm still figuring out if i'll dress up, it all depends if i finish "something" in time for the con. That's my new character: Cryptic Skeletor!
