All my MOC-toys were moisture-damaged, whee.

Hi all,

just wanted to vent a little bit. I just came back from our dry-storage space and we've had a nasty moisture-damage. And not only moisture, first moisture/water, then frost. All my MOC toys were there and they are all pretty much ruined as far as packaging goes. Lucky for me my MOC collection is not big (20+ something toys), but still it sucks. The worst part is that I don't know what to do with the MOC figures! I have all of the loose aswell and now there's no point in keeping them MOC anymore.

Sigh, rough day for a toy geek.

That sucks - I've recently had to take quite drastic action to re-house my comic collection after I found the wall my comic boxes were against was growing mould, with some of the comics starting to smell damp!

Fortunately I have a fantastic Mum & Dad who helped me out by helping build me a bed base with legs, and I now have the comics in special damp proof, plastic-lined comic boxes, located under my bed!

Man sorry to hear about that. Moisture can definatly get the best of a good toy collection.

Im sorry to hear that, if the figure's packages arent salvagable might I say that you can always sell some loose figures and then use some of the cash to replace some of your losses, granted it wont cover the whole shabang but its worth a shot.

Bummer, for sure.
Ive contimplated getting a storage unit for a while, but I just didnt trust the fact that I wont have access to my stuff on the fly.
So Im getting a bigger place, strictly to have an entire room for my collections!

Oh, that's too bad, I'm really sorry to hear that . Hope you can do as Impulse said and have at least part of your MOC collection replaced by selling the damaged ones.

Thanks for the replies, you all. After a well slept night I don't feel that bad anymore. I decided that I'll try to trade atleast the 200x figures into something I like.
