Superbowl commercials & Half time Show: Your thoughts

I have to say I wasnt impressed by any of the commercials this year. I liked the one where they threw the snowglobe at the machine, but thats about it. Nothing had me that interested.

    Did anyone have a favorite?

My favorites were probably the Bud commercial where the guy gets thrown out the window and the Doritos one where the guy throws a snow globe at his boss. The commercials in general haven't been as good the last few years.

Too Much of the Clydesdales. Hated the Sobe commercial and wasn't impressed with any of the Movie Trailers. Not to mention the Halftime show was boring as heck.

10th Avenue Freeze-Out was on Born to Run and Working On a Dream is the title song form his newest album. But I wish he played 10AFO a little faster. It loses some of its luster in slow tempo. Here's a better version of it.

I HATE the Clydesdale commercials and it did seem like there were more of them this year.

The commercials I enjoyed were the Conan O'brien Budweiser commercial, the Cash4Gold commercial with Hammer and Ed McMahon, and the Macgruber Pepsi Commercial. Other than that they were pretty bad.

Honestly, i can't stand 'Superbowl' commercials, and the hype that they get. Half of these commercials are crap anyways, and always overshadow the actual game, itself.

Yeah, but who there cares about his new stuff. They want to hear Born in the USA. Its a classic. Lame. And I agree he was trying to relive his glory days, and it failed.

My favorite was the Cash for Gold one with MC Hammer!

I also enjoyed the Doritos one with the snowglobe.

The worst commercial was that long concert thing (half time?) promoting that old dude (Bruce Springsteen).

I don't think Born In The U.S.A. would have been a good idea. And yes the half time show was extra lame this year.

Heh, yeah. Seeing this thread makes me glad I didn't watch the Superbowl. The Halftime shows have been lame since 2005, when the NFL became politically correct.

When he decided to put his political views first before his music, that is the day I quit giving a crap about him. I already dislike politicians, so why would I want to listen to a politician disguised as a musician??

Getting back to the super bowl commercials, as someone said earlier, most of them are crap. The Doritios ones really weren't worth all of the media blitz given to the joe shmoe creators. They won a million dollars for making a commercial where a guy throws a snowglobe at another guy's groin?? Thanks alot, Johnny Knoxville.

And while I'm on a rant, the G.I. Joe teaser ad was pretty weak.
