I actually got a customs "Pay Me" form today, so there's a decent chance my figures finally arrived. We'll find out tomorrow!

    That makes two of us!

Glad to report that, as of yesterday, these are finally at my local sorting office. Customs charge of £12.24 though.. would have been cheaper to order the two figures seperately and pay two lots of postage. Damn this country and its robbing government!!

Just in time to order Zodac now!

That's why having a look at the search facility on thiis site is a good idea as I have posted exactly that advice for UK orders of 2 figs or more months ago - Customs seem to have latched onto parcels from Mail On the Move with a vengence and it does indeed work out cheaper to order two seperate figs and suffer the postage hit rather than fork over £12+ on duty - and they dont get delayed either.

Of course that might not be so easy to do now as you don't get the luxury of time in ordering these things these days - you are lucky to get one oder in.....

Apologies - new to the site, and new to ordering these figures. Only got Faker and Merman so far

Does feel a bit like a double-edged sword.. order two so you know your order is in safe. Order one at a time to save getting reemed at customs and risk not completeing the order... hmmm.....

Going halves with my mate anyway (one figure for me, one for him) so not too much of a hit

As I've always ordered two of each figure on the same order in the past, can someone please tell is the P&P still $9.99 for just one figure or is it less and is their any customs fee for ordering one figure?

I'm just trying to work out weather to order two subscriptions on the same account or separate ones.

    Cheers,
    Matt.

Yes, it's still $9.99 P&P for 1 figure. And I haven't been charged by customs for any of my single figure orders.

Shipping is the same price for 1 or 2 figures. But customs doesn't charge anything for 1 figure because the value of the package is then below 18 quid. And because they then charge a special "handling charge" of 8 pounds on top of the V.A.T., you end up paying just over 12 pounds/around 18 dollars in additional fees if you purchase 2 together.

So you spend about $18 in order to save $10 in additional shipping. It's much cheaper to buy 2 separately.

Thanks for the reply's guys. So by my calculations its gunna cost around £12 in P&P to order two separate figures and around £18.20 in P&P and customs fees to order two figures together. Think I'll give it a go with two separate subscriptions and see how I get on.

    SirBushnell you from the UK?

Unless there's a Utah up north that we don't know about!

I take it no one has their Zodak yet?

Actually, I have two on the way so one is up for grabs at cost if anybody wants him!

Nope no Utah this far north as least Though I did find out recently there's a Gotham and a Jerusalem not to far from me.
Was just wondering as he seemed to know about UK P&P and customs fees.

I'm from Manchester, but am a permanent resident in the USA.

I had to come back to England temporarily to sort out a health issue - the good old NHS is a bit kinder on the wallet than health care in the US. So for recent figures I've been back here in Manchester.

    Situation explained.

I will probably move to the US at some point but the health care situation or lack of over there does put one off a bit!!

Wait... how long ago was that? My brother did the same thing in a 5-a-side citywide tournament final that was played before a game versus Derby County. They lost on a penalty shoot-out (but he scored, so can say that he actually scored a goal at Old Trafford!)... and I was pitchside for the game. You weren't in the same game, perchance?

By the way, I've lived stateside for 10 years now. The health situation is quite simple, as are most things there. If you're rich, there is nowhere in the world better to live (in my opinion). But if you're poor, there aren't many places worse. Most decent companies provide some realistic way for their employees to get health insurance - but even then, most aren't free and it isn't cheap. Prescriptions also cost a fortune - often running into hundreds of dollars each.
And basically, if you have no health insurance, you can either a) not get sick, b) face bankruptcy, or 3) keep your UK citizenship so you can return when you need to.

Oh, err... back on topic. Has anyone in the UK got their shipping confirmation for Zodac yet? Yes, I know there was a weekend, but I've never had to wait 5 days before (and I always order within minutes of the figures being available).

    Hey Sirbushnell.

I received my shipping confirmation on the 16th (the Saturday) for my Zodac mate.

Mer-man took 2 weeks to arrive so fingers crossed Zodac is the same

I'm still waiting for Merman, I ordered him when the second batch were available. I'm actually starting to worry as I've never had to wait this long for any of the others.

However, so far I have been lucky with the extra customs charge as I always get two figures together and never had to pay this extra charge. No doubt my luck will change with Merman & Zodac

It's odd, when I get em direct from Matty for 9 bucks, they are usuallu here within two weeks.
But when a fellow board member got me Merman and used the sabe 9 buck postage, I had him in 5 days!

My Mer-Man's came on sat but I was away in the lake district for the bank holiday weekend so I only just picked em up today.£12.21 customs fee. These two figure are in the worst condition of all the figures I've got from Matty so far. I only keep one MOC so am going to try and salvage the best one buy gluing the part of the blister back on the card where it's come away.
