Still waiting for Mer-men and Zodacs myself. Hope at least the Mer-men arrive soon. I hate having to wait for two different figures, especially with Hordak looming!

That'll be because Matty don't seem to use USPS for some reason but this other company who for some reason seem to send UK packages to Germany first. USPS are usually very fast.

    matty shipping question

does anyone know how much the shipping to the uk actually costs, i can't find a concrete answer.

i got he-man and skeletor on ebay and really want hordak and was wondering if it worked out the same price would it be easier to just get one on e-bay

In reply to the last two posts, there is a simple explanation for Mattel using "Mail on the Move". Only companies can open an account with them, but shipping is about 25% of the price now charged by USPS and all the couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.). I believe the US government just recently put a stop to most cheap international mail (at least to the UK) - I haven't yet worked out why.

If you want to purchase from ebay, bear in mind that the average price to ship a single MOTUC figure to the UK through USPS has now gone up to about $45. The other carriers are even more expensive.
On the other hand, Mattel will ship you multiple figures for $10 using "Mail on the Move". But it will take 2-3 times as long to reach you, and anything above a single figure will be charged extra by customs (V.A.T plus a charge of 8 quid).

Still waiting on my Mer-Man orer from the 29th, that's been a clear month since they were shipped. Trouble is it costs more than a figure for the faster shipping, bloody con.

really? the most i've paid for shipping is around £15, which took just over two weeks, but i would usually buy from ebay shops rather than single sellers

i will be honest, i want to got the cheaper route( who wouldn't) but i really don't trust mattel to have the problems sorted out and think the whole hordak day will be a shambles

I know. It was about £15. Until 2 or 3 weeks ago. Have you paid that since then?

nope but the hordak i'm watching on ebay is only around £12 shipping, the main thing holding me back is the idea he's not out yet

Unless he's either a) making a ton of extra money on the figure itself, or b) a company that can use a service like Mail on the Move... that pre-order is from somebody who hasn't checked the updates to shipping costs.

They're gonna get a big shock when it comes time to send the figure. I doubt they'll go through with it at that price, but if they do it's a bargain.

If you don't believe me, all you have to do is go to the USPS web site and plug in the information yourself.

it's not that i don't believe you mate far from it, i'm just trying to get as much info as i can before i make a decision.

i really don't think matty collector will be able to handle the insanity that will hit them on the 15th

Maybe mine will show up tomorrow!

I forget who delivers these? Is it Parcel Force or Interlink?

Haven't got my Zodac yet, but hoping for the next couple of days.

They seem to have taken about the same amount of time as Mer Man and Faker.

I had a customs charge for £16, either it's for 4 Mer-Men or 2 Zodacs, I'm really hoping the former as whatever it is, is getting delivered tomorrow.

Shame about that Eamon. Strange how it works out.

Mine arrived in perfect shape, the box is immaculate. The only thing i can see is one of the white circles on the left side of the belt is a bit sloppy, but it's no problem.

    Hope you get him soon.

And Jonathan Ross is quality!! lol

2 Zodac figures would be £12 (£12.53, to be exact, I believe).

So those are your Mer-man figures.

They were indeed! All arrived at 8 this morning, unfortunately work calls, but I was waiting until this came in so I could start putting them on a shelf.
