    REST IN PEACE SKELETONCREW (cotu)

If you have not heard, my SOUL brother, cotu partner, and kindred friend Matthew
Schultz tragically drowned in the Missouri River Friday. Those
wishing details are encouraged to google or yahoo. It has been a
pretty prominent news story and details I don't care to recite here
    are easily found.

    http://www.wowt.com/home/headlines/47167442.html

    We are all absolutely devastated.

Below are the plans for his memorial. The most important thing is
that you pass this information on to ANYONE you think may be
interested. Getting the word out is the hardest thing at a time like
this, so we need your help.

    Hope to see you there.

    Matthew Schultz Memorial
    This Thursday June 11
    Dusk (approx. 9PM)
The Nebraska side of the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge.
    Rain or shine.
Bring: Glow sticks, other items you think appropriate. Costumes? Oh
heck yeah. He loved that. Etc.

We will begin to gather as the sun goes down on the Nebraska side of
the pedestrian bridge. We will gather and individuals may honor
Matthew and share with the group as they feel moved to do. Some will
speak, tell stories about Matthew and what he meant to them, some may
perform in the art of their choice (music, dance, etc.) There is no
schedule, no restrictions save that we ask no equipment that requires
AC electricity (ie extension cords) be required. Acoustic instruments,
hand drums, battery powered things, etc. are OK.

People who want to plan something are welcome to contact me and inform
me so I have an idea of who wants to do what, but that is not
necessary. Spontaneous things are welcome as well.

When everyone has expressed themselves in the manner of their choosing
(I estimate this will take 45-60 minutes) it should be completely
dark. We chose this time for several reasons, because Matthew was very
nocturnal and because the glow sticks he loved so much will be most
visible in the dark. It will also lend the memorial a total "Matthew
    vibe".

At any time feel free to break out the glow sticks and activate them.
Put them on as bracelets, weave them into your hair, etc. Whatever you
are moved to do. We should have them all out and activated by the time
    the sharing portion is concluding.

Then we will walk across the bridge to the IA side aglow. This is to
symbolize the journey we have taken with Matthew in this life and the
time we spend together and the love we feel for him.

Once we are all on the IA side we will do something. Right now I
anticipate we will sing SHOUT IT OUT LOUD by KISS accompanied by richard his brother on
bass. That was the last song that Matthew and richard rehearsed and
    performed together.

Then we will return across the bridge to the Nebraska side. This
journey will symbolize the journey we will all take when we leave this
world- at the end of which we will finally see Matthew again.

After that everyone is invited to richards at 2020 Vinton Street.
Beverages will be consumed and more memories and commemoration shared.

I suggest people buy their own glow sticks. I have a few but we really
    can't have too many.

Also Matthew's ashes will be present at the memorial, and at my home after.

People wishing to send floral or food memorials please have them
delivered to my house, address above. People will be able to enjoy
    them at the 'afterparty'.

People so moved to make financial donations may also do so to richard. he is
responsible for Matthew's final expenses and he did not have any
    financial resources or insurance.

And most important of all, PLEASE SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANYONE
WHO MAY BE INTERESTED. Getting in touch with masses of people is very
difficult at times like these. So your help in that area is vital.

    Thank you.

    Hello there, Galaxy Warrior!

I am so sorry to hear this. I know words are inadequate at a time like this, but you and SKELETONCREW'S family, friends and all of those who knew him are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. That's very tragic news to hear. I grew up near this part of the Missouri River and it is just so dangerous. I wish they would regulate activities on this body of water better.

Holy crap. Man, this is really messed up. I didn't know the guy super well, but I knew him well enough. Got some of his molds for free just for fun. I even inspired his Horde style Faker runs with my Horde-Man.

GW, please pass on my best wishes to his friends and family. I'll be praying for them.

Although I would love to pay tribute, it is simply not possible for me to make it. I will, however, be there in spirit. Matthew and his art made such a lasting impression on me that I simply cannot put it into words. All that I can say is that his work will continue to influence and inspire me forever.
And, as I would assume he would have wanted it, his art will stand as the most fitting and lasting tribute to his spirit.
