MOTUC Visions: Catra

Now that I run out of old artwork, these threads won't appear regularly as before, sorry about that,
But now that I'm breathign a bit between jobs, I took time an enjoied doing a new MOTUC designs.

I would call this another episode of "The repaints Fans do want!"
With Catra, of course the version we want most is the Filmation version.
But, with a simple repaint, she can be sold again as the toy version in a hybrid style seen in the POP Mattel style guide (where she also appear in her regular red outfit though)

Or if we want to go for a refresh instead of a simple repaint, just adding the tail and changing the outfit top piece could do the trick.
Especially if the outfit tool cna later be reused for other characters like Sweet-Bee!

Of course the Mask should be removable and can be placed on her face too.

You did an amazing job on all of them, Emiliano. I'd buy all 3. As a bonus item, Catra could also come with the classic toy mask.

All of them are amazing I must say. I'm partial to the red cartoon or the style guide version myself. Amazing. I hope 4H and Mattel are paying attention to you Emiliano

Very nice! The hybrid version is my favorite. I actually really like the colors on the toy, but I just found the detailing on the POP figures to be too generic and samey looking from toy to toy.

Awesome! Even if Catra gets release in her original toy form/ colors looking like that, I still won't mind and I'll buy my usual!

And they said POP figs won't look good in the MOTUC line!

All your Motuc versions have been breath-taking cool. I haven't commented other ones but I love them all.

You even made the jewel on her chest make sense with the Filmation design! At first, I didn't even notice it, it looked so perfect.

Awesome Catra!!! Another fabulous piece to go along with your other works! Seeing the face also makes me think that if they do a live movie version they should seriously consider Janice Dickinson. They share a very close resemblance.

She's fantastic Emil, and really should be made into a figure, Mattel are you seeing this!? Though probably couldn't use the Filmation design but not a problem, her hybrid version is my fave (as long as the cape is removable, don't understand why a cat themed character would need a cape). I'm guessing her head would have little gaps and her mask would have tiny pegs to snap over her face right?

But I really like the other two, and would actually prefer her to show her "horde colors"

Basically what I'm sayin' is... I'm going to be happy with a Catra figure, no matter how the 4HM do her...

I much prefer the toy version without the horde symbol, as I always imagined Catra as being the leader of her own faction (as she was presented in the original PoP mini-comic... though obviously Mattel was never able to get very far in this department toywise). In a new MOTUC continuity, I'd love it if she were put into a bounty huntress kind of role, a native to Etheria, but working alternately for Skeletor, Hordak and herself. Good work! I'd be pleased with any of the three designs, but hope when the toy is revealed it's all classic toy design all the way

Emiliano these studies CATRA are spectacular, congratulations!

Those are all amazing and I would flip over any of those versions when we get to Catra's figure they're amazing. I hope we get something similar to this.

I'm in love. She is beautiful!!!! I don't care which version we get as long as she looks like this. I hope they do her hair in a pony tail.
