New to the org and I LOVE the MOTU Classics!!!

Hi everyone,
I am new to He-Man.org. I have wanted to join for a while, but I couldn't because you have to have a paid e-mail account. I only had a free e-mail account through yahoo, but I am set up now and ready to go.

I never had much of a childhood. I grew up and worked on a farm where there was no time for play time. So here I am at 32 years of age and starting to live my youth through encouragment from my wife. I have only been collecting He-Man MOTU for about 1 year. I got my first figure last fall and it was a 200X He-Man. I thought life couldn't get any better. But then they came out with the Classics line and it got much better. I never had MOTU figures growing up, but collecting this Classics line makes me feel like a kid. I love it. Now, I know many of us here have problems with Mattel, as do I, but I will address those problems later.

Sorry to hear about the hard times you're going through. You got a great attitude about it. Let me know if you need help getting a MOTUC fig, alright?

Sad to hear about your current status, friend. But keep positive, things will be getting better in time. So if you're selling those 200x motu's, be wise and patient: people are paying good $$$ for them nowadays.

Yeah, I know there are lots of people upset with Mattel and I have my beef with them as well. But overall, I love what they are doing and hope that angry fans don't cause them to stop making them.

MOTU Manic, welcome to the boards. I hope things turn around for you and your family soon. I love MOTU Classics as well! I was lucky enough to grow up with He-Man and had several of the classic figures; so MOTUC is just perfect for me. I don't collect toys, at least I didn't until I heard about this line. Now I'm a believer Glad to have another He-Man fan in the fold!!

Theres lots to love

Wow MM, this is eerie, I too grew up in KY on a farm in poverty, loving the MOTU and POP cartoons but never having many of the toys at all unless they could be found at my local thrift store or were given to my by friends. I am 33 years old and am also a Disabled American and my wife got me into collecting action figures many years ago.

I too love these figures! Everyone has problems with certain aspects of obtaining them but all in all they are amazing figures and great updates while being throwbacks all at the same time.

I hear you MM that is how I felt when I read your post! Great to have you here, I have been around on a lot of the other sites and a few of the members even know me here, I always keep my same i.d. I am really enjoying these figures and what they mean to all of us who loved the cartoons, the figures and comics or all of the above!

Well, like I have said in others posts, I never collected as a child and actually only started collecting last fall when I saw some 200x figures at a Flea market. I thought they were the coolest things. Now that the new Classics line is out I am even more excited!

That is very interesting. Have you picked up any of the vintage figures or seen any of the cartoons out of curiosity's sake?

I have started colecting some vintage figures when I can find most of them for about $1 or less at yard sales and flea markets. I found a Gwildor in great condition about 1 week ago.
I also have started watching the original cartoon. I saw a few episodes when I was a kid and loved them, but I just didn't get a chance to see very many. I am also looking forward to seeing the 1987 movie with Dolph Lundgren (even though I have heard it was a flop) and the MYP cartoon series.
