The Power Sword

my version of He-Man's Sword of Power

(the runes on the blade spell GRAYSKULL in the runic alphabet)

I like it....but the hilt seems a bit small.

Very cool dude. Where did you get the reference for the runes? I have been trying to do my version of the Power Sword and sonofblaine suggested the runes.

Now funny I wouldn't have said the hilt is short because I see the blade as being quite long

I simply googled "runic alphabet" amazing what you can find

there are actually a couple of variations / versions with different runes for the same letters. For instance the one I used the rune for "G" was basically an X but in others it is like a K but with the bottom diagonal missing and a dot between the vertical line and the top diagonal. I simply used the ones I liked the look of most (and the easiest to draw lol )

I meant small as in "skinny"..."thin".

Awesome! I love the addition of the runes. It looks like a warriors weapons.

Hmm it may be but I can live with it and I have seen real swords with hilts just as thin

This time the runes spell PROTECTION

Good! Maybe it's just a little skinny above the hilt.

Nice drawing but I just don't like that sword design.

Tis too short and stubby.

You go into combat with that and anyone like Triklops could disarm He-man with a simple flick.

look at the size of those croosguards? It's just not very effective sword design.

Old thread I know but was just looking on Comic Vine and they are using my version of the Power Sword http://www.comicvine.com/he-man/4005-16423/ in fact if I google Power Sword, mine is the first image that appears

You know I like your art work and I like these swords but the blades should be longer. what they look like now are daggers.

I like your 1st skeletor sword. the blade just needs to be longer.

Why does He-Man's power sword has tapes on its hilt?
