While I've been shooting toys for some time now with dramatic lighting and whatnot, and I thought I'd share my first attempts at trying my hand at He-Man:

Be sure to view them in large - they look much better big.

I dig the second shot the most. In silhouette, it hides the articulation lines well.

As for the first one, I don't know, the angle of the sword would appear to be off a bit. Try to imagine how you'd grip a sword to swing. It could be right the way you have it but it just looks...off, you know?

I get what you mean - and I did play around with a bunch of different angles and grips on the sword. Most of them looked, and the straight on shot like that looked the best (at least composition wise - for a fighting stance, it's pretty weaksauce. )

I looked through your Photostream. Some of your images have a great commercial look. Nice work.
