What 1980's Toyline Would You Like To See Brought Back Next?

Mattel has brought back Masters Of The Universe(although it will never feel official to me until we get a comic or cartoon to go with the MOTUC line) & The Ghostbusters. Hasbro has been rebooting G.I. Joe & Transformers with new toylines & canons every few years since the late 90's. ThunderCats, TMNT, Voltron, and Battle Beasts are coming soon.

What 1980's Toyline Would You Like To See Brought Back Next?

(unfortunately, after 3 attempts to get this poll finished in the 3 minute time limit the forum gives you, I spelled Centurions incorrectly)

I voted M.A.S.K. but only as a straight-up re-release of the original 80's toys a la Transformers re-releases. I just want those toys in mint complete condition.

The Pirates of Dark Water is the 1990s, but I'd pick them if they were an 80s line. I guess I'll go with Robo Force. M.A.S.K. and C.O.P.S. would be close behind.

    Close enough.

I'm surprised someone picked ManTech. I only had one of them, but they had a miniseries by Archie Comics that I thought was great. It was a tad depressing, but it seemed quite mature consideing it was based on a kid's toyline.

I picked Filmation's Ghostbusters since it had some of my favorite non-MOTU character designs for a toyline. Its cartoon may not have been written for 2 audiences(kids & adults) like the Real Ghostbusters cartoon had been, but I feel the show is judged unfairly.

Gobots, Robo Force, and C.O.P.S. are close seconds.

I chose ManTech! I was into it. Had a couple of the figs, and the comics.

Truth be told, I have no clue as to a large number of the properties you mentioned in the poll. A number of them must have come after I grew out of that kinda stuff, and the others I was never interested in. Except for M.U.S.C.L.E., but I think that did get brought back this past decade.

I wasn't trashing you about ManTech, I was just surprised since it was a relatively obscure toyline that people rarely remember. You usually hear talk of the similar line, Centurions. Centurions were brighter and had a Saturday morning cartoon, but I prefer ManTech.

I'm 34. So either you are younger or older than me, Canada didn't get all of these toylines, or I dragged my parents to ToysRus more than you did yours.

I LOVED M.U.S.C.L.E. a lot as a kid. The only reason I didn't mention them as one of my favorites is that the line that came out several years ago(along with the cartoon on FOX kids) featured the sons of the original characters as well as being extremely juvenile. It kinda killed a lot of my love for Mattel's line where only 2 characters were given names.

I see a lot of my old favs listed but can't find Inhumanoids!!!!

Those were really neat and I'd have loved to see new huge monsters and for the toys to be updated.

I voted Silverhawks as my second choice.

I never got into them, but I'm surprised I forgot Inhumanoids! Are there any other 1980's toylines that any of you out there liked but I forgot to put on the poll? I'm just curious.

My vote goes to Dino-Riders since dinosaurs make everything cooler.
Proud supporter of the Snake Men.

Most Wanted: Slave Girl, Lizorr, T-Rex, Great Black Wizard, rest of New Adventures, MOP Demons, Dream Mistress.
Most Wanted Filmation: Ileena, Twiggets, Dragoon, Widgets, Dark Dream, Lady Valtira, Count Marzo, Chimera.

No Slave Girl? Watch us hurl!

A barbaric world without slave girls? That's truly barbaric!

For me, after MOTU, it has to be M.A.S.K. without doubt.

Definitely Gobots! I loved Gobots as a kid even moreso than Transformers at one time.

I would be thrilled with just a DVD release and maybe a few commemorative releases like just the basics: Leader-1, Turbo, Scooter, Cy-Kill, Crasher, Cop-Tur.

It's a shame it will probably never happen due to it changing hands and rights and stuff. Doesn't Hasbro own Gobots now? Do they own the cartoon too? It wouldn't hurt them to throw a little Gobots out there during this retro revival trend.

I'd also like to nominate Dinosaucers. Their toyline never came out and their cartoon was awesome! I'd love to see a DVD release!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, while Hasbro owns the Gobots(since they bought Tonka, the only thing they've ever done with them is briefly have a preschoolers toyline of Transformers called Gobots & allow IDW to use Cy-Kill's likeness as a robot that was killed during a gladiator game in one of their Transformers comics), Time Warner owns the Gobots cartoon(it was produced by Hannah Barbera).

While I was open minded enough as a kid to watch Jem, the Strawberry Shortcake specials, and Rainbow Brite(I even secretly wanted a Lurky plush), since I never owned any of them, I never even thought of them for this poll. Sorry.

Yeah! Inhumanoids rock! Imagine a bunch of guys in Exo-Suits fighting monsters. What isn't to like about that? I would also like Starriors. Obscure, yes, but the toys were cool and the comic from Marvel rocked!

Rock Lords all the way! They're powerful living rocks, that could kick the crap out of the Transformers. They deserve a second chance.

The Pirates of Dark Water would be my second choice.
