I can also see where you got your image from

oh yeah..i guess i should remember to say.. that IS where i got my image of Voltron from. mainly becuase hes in that iconic pose that was from the show and i wanted his introduction to be something thats instantly recognizable.

and bummer.. sorry you dont like the "idea". i thought it was an interesting idea... i guess we will see.

I like crossovers but I don't think I like a Transformers/He-man crossover. Maybe, instead of using the robot, you can use its spark and reveal that cybertronic sparks can affect grayskull's defensive magic so Skeletor can get inside. But I love your drawings. I wish I can draw like that someday.

I think that's Voltron actually... not too up on giant robots though... so it could be a transformer.

great artwork and an interesting read.

First of all, very well drawn and executed, it feels like a professional comic (gosh, even better than some of 'em!). The feeling of the first pages it immerses the reader in the situation of the protagonist (as long as I have seen is Skeletor in this story!).

Perhaps the fast deaths of MAA and Teela have been a bit strange, although I dig that Skeletor has found new powers in other dimensions.

The robot appearing suddenly in a dark history is somewhat surprising, but if it is correctly handled it can be very amusing. My suggerence is that Skeletor uses it with a remote control device, but only for smashing a entrance in the castle and then it begins to use some other sort of weapon.

Keep up this great work, looking forward for the next chapter.

Well done. I like the darker story/art in this comic, the art work is great. Not to fond of the Voltron appearance at the end there, but over all great stuff.

ah you guys... its really great to hear that you like my art. to rate so favorably against such high standards. makes me happy fellas...

    a few points..

YES...that is VOLTRON: defender of the universe from the old 80's cartoon. not a Transformer..(tho..they really are so similar in design)
kinda suprised that some dont recognize who it is. would have thought anyone thats a fan of the old 80's transformers would immediatly know who voltron is. ah well.

but i do have to admit some suprise at some of the "dont care for voltron" comments". i mean..i have NO problem with anyone that doesnt like it.. i just.. for ME..this was one of the best moments of the story. we have supe dark heman story..and bam...voltrons here to mix it up. it was one of the biggest moments in the story i couldnt wait to draw.

i guess i just thought everyone else would find it as awesome an idea as i did. not to sound pretentious...like my work here is "so awesome" or anything like that.

oh well..cant complain.. you guys are a great group with a really great attitude about fan works.

you should read what they are saying about this comic over on the John Byrne boards. wow... they have never seen ANYTHING as horrible as this comic i have done here. its really weird to have so much hate directed at my simple little HEMAN comic. wow.
heres a link if anyone would like to read all the hate.

I think its funny to read comments on this comic from there. In one sentence they spout about fanboy this and fanboy that, they complain about it ruining a child's cartoon......who's the fanboy?

Robnor, I think the issue is the sudden change in tone.

We have this great, very dark Skeletor centric tale, with a lot of death in it. A lot of death and gore. I mean he flew away like Superman, but overall the dark theme continues and then suddenly Voltron appears. To me, at least, it jars.

Yes its a surprise, but it feels random and out of place.

    Thats just me though.

Your art style is fantastic though, especially your background work.

Naw man, it's awesome! You just gotta understand what level of awesome. As I stated above, I think it's just hilarious that you've got this violent, serious tone going on and then suddenly bring in Voltron. Sure, I wasn't expecting comedy, but unexpected comedy is one of my favorite things.

Also, I mean, he's been through dimensions, so he could pick any vastly powerful thing to bring back. Voltron, as he stated, was just one of his favorites. It's perfectly powerful in it's own universe, so if you're still keeping with the serious tone, then it'll be just as powerful here. Regardless, it's a hilarious choice, so hopefully you weren't expecting shock and awe. It is certainly a change in tone, but I welcome it!

Very nice. Finally seeing some of the heroes get blasted. I wish Adam would have taken a dirt nap but it seems you're setting him up to save the day later. As for Voltron...as long as he destroys Castle Grayskull I'm all for it!

As for the critics, I understand. But if they don't like your story, they can always make their own. That's the beauty of imagination. You don't like something...produce your own stuff. If you can...

i guess this is something of a learning experience for me... with my hopefully intended reaction not quite coming the way i wanted or expected for folks. i know some are digging it and some are not, but its not supposed to be like...a gag per say. its all supposed to be just as serious as the previous installments, i just didnt think voltron would throw off the feel and vibe that much. BUT..maybe after i get the next and final part of issue 1 up, it will help make more sense. maybe it will all come together. OR...i may lose you all totally...

anyway... as always...i appreciate all the great feedback you guys offer

It's a real shame about the Voltron appearance. Up to that face-palm moment, it was a great story.

The shading on the artwork is excellent. I really like the overall look you have there.
