    That is arrogant or shortsighted.
Most of the crits were feedback on what they think how the comic might improve in their opinion and that is the way it should be.
Ah now I see. Sorry before you left it quite vague, so it felt that you were saying that anyone who said it was wrong was arrogant. Now I agree with you.

As long as crits are constructive, they're helpful.

I like the story, I just think of it as a crossover or else world, like Batman/Spawn or something. I was a fan of Voltron as a kid, but all the hate from this thread ruined the chance for a MotU/Voltron 2 pack like MotU/DC.

When I first saw Voltron it was a shock and it did change the whole feel, I was expecting a MotU story and not a crossover, but that's what happens when you don't have coverart preparing the reader for it, like GI Joe/Transformers. If you had that, you would not be getting most of the criticism.

But I just figured this new powerful Skeletor took control of one of the most powerful bots in the universe. He may be able to take on Horde Prime after he conquers his life long dream of Grayskull, and be a true master of all the universes. Have flash backs of Skeletor's 3 missing years, with him having Lion-o and Mum-ra fallen at his feet. That would be awesome.

But what ever you do, just tell the story you want to tell, and have fun doing it, there is no story out there that does not get some criticism.

Everyone makes mistakes. But if no one points them out, people will keep making them. Mindless praise nor "Shut up and like it!" do not help at all. Honest opinion does, no matter how harsh.

You contradict yourself! Your crit is neither constructive nor helpful, but it is as you put it, harsh.

If someone wants to offer constructive critisism, then it should point out what would improve the art. Written or drawn. Not just vague misgivings such as "Arts Ok", or "too much gore" that take it into the "fanwank zone". Those comments do not point out ANYTHING that would improve the artist. They are simply derogatory remarks for the sake of being mean, or blowing your own horn.

If you look at the panels, there are only 5 of them that offer "gore" as you call it. And 2 of those 5 are energy blasts, so wouldn't have blood anyway.

The only mistake Rob has made, or would make, would be to listen to any of these nay-saying chocolate starfish on any of these boards.

I think the art is fantastic. I for one could never do something like that with watercolors/mixed media. Great stuff.

The only crit I would offer is that if skelly were gone for 3 years on a power quest, I would think he might have a slightly changed look. Such as conquest memorabilia, like eye of thundera as a pendant, or possibly more buffed up from the power. Unless of course all of his souvinirs are freakin' huge like Voltron, and he simply can't carry them around...

Rob, you're a bigger man than I. I'd be a bit PO'd if I invested that much effort into something, and people just blasted it because they simply didn't like it, and chalked it up to "constructive critisism".

Keep up the great work man! Bring in the Care Bears if you really want to! It's your show, run it how you see fit!

you know i think you might be on to something there. If he took this comic, and added a crossover from every cartoon from the 80's, and not just voltron, I think this thing could be epic. Bring in, or at least show skeletor learning his own version of the care bear stare, then killing the care bears, stomping the smurf village and smacking gargamel around, have serpentors head dress, destros mask, the sword of omens on his hip, megatron reprogrammed battering grayskull with cannon fire, call on hawk, wolf, puma, AND bear to make him super fast and strong, show him kicking the inhumanoids butts, stay puft sent in to finally end skeletors power struggle with hordak .....

like if you can fit EVERYTHING 80's in this thing, it would be so crazy sweet.

or have I gone a little crazy?

    I'm LMFAO!

You're wrong Rob, Stick's not crazy. That would be great! Too funny! Skelly could have a new cape made from Care Bear pelts!

I know you won't go that far, but still funny to think about the possibilities!

Can anyone do a quick scetch of any of this? Skelly with his elseworld trophies?

a care bear pelt cape would be AMAZING. I would totally include a scene where panthor is chewing on a cloud car like a chew toy. See, you/we get it ... like we GET IT ... it has so much potential. At first i thought it was a train wreck, but now really thinking about it, it's totally amazing. It's like a painting, 1 or 2 brush strokes, and it's silly, pointless even .... if you carefully pick your colors, strokes, and invest a little time you have a work of art on your hands.

Bit to hardcore for me but I kept reading.

I kept reading because the art was good, the story was good, the plot was good, things flowed well.

Writers of comics want people to talk about their book or a particular issue because it creates interest and sells books. And that's what this did.

Not a fan of skeletor flying away like some kind of super villain.

Not a voltron fan so seeing the bot didn't bother me BUT it creates for an awesome cliff hanger. makes you want more and writers of comics want that.

Skeletor going out and getting voltron is not a stretch. in the mini comics he got ninjor and scareglow so why not voltron. it's the perfect spot/way to bring in a crossover.

not really bothered by skeletor snapping. makes me wonder why it hasn't happened before

skeletor was a little to uber for me. I try to justify it by him "snapping" and that he's never had to go full force. He's doing a different approach since the more conventional way of having your own personal army didn't work.

I may nit pick a bit but is really really good.

The first time I saw this thread I just skimmed over the art and Voltron showing up at the end was jarring. I just read the pages you have posted and I must say I am enthralled, personally I am not sure about Voltron but I will give it the benefit of a doubt. I mean at least it wasn't the Power Rangers or something.

You art is great, the shading is...well I'm jealous of it. You have some great line work and attention to details. Although some panels seem a bit barren. It's dark and gritty and no holds barred and I like it. Seeing Adam's hand being blown off was crazy awesome. Can't wait to see more.

I will say this about Voltron. With all the new powers Skeletor has acquired, does he really need a giant robot? Food for thought (and I am sure someone has mentioned this already).

This just keeps getting better and better man, keep it up!

Great work. He-man supper punches Votron FTW.

I see a big backfire coming in the story, Jaga said that the "Sword of Omens cannot be used for evil deeds!". The sword is powered by the eye. So I think ol' Skeley is in for a surprise.
I'm looking forward to the next update.

This is they way I look it. He-man never lost a hand. It was Adam. YES a hand is seemed be gained because of the transformation.

What can be done is when He-Man returns the power Adam is still handless.

That can be the first priority of the new man-at-arms. Yah I know that's ripping off Luke skywalker from Empire strikes back.

additional:I wasn't keen on the idea of skeletor going after other items but you pulled it off nicely robnor101.

Maybe, but by that rationale Prince Adam could be dying from 17 stab wounds in the back but as long as he has the Power Sword in his hand and yells his catch phrase he could be instantly healed as He-Man. He'd just have to stay He-Man forever since he'd be dead if returned to Prince Adam.
