There was a pre-Battle Ram concept vehicle called the Battle Chariot that appeared in the first minicomic. https://battleramblog.com/battle-ram-1982/

As to whether they'll make it, who knows? Sometimes they renew these trademarks and don't do much with them. Other times, they release something soon thereafter.

But it would be a good way to get Disco Skeletor into the Origins line if they did a set like Adam/Sky Sled and Mekaneck/Ripper.

I wonder if Battle Catapult will ever make it into Origins since it was featured on the Wind Raider's box art side panel:

I'd love to see that. Has that beautiful pre-Filmation tech-savagery mix that made early MOTU so cool. I'm amazed it was never made in the vintage line. Now is the perfect opportunity since Origins is showing more and more that it won't just be a boring copy of vintage.

That, plus it just looks like a simple fun toy where you push down on one end and an object is catapulted from the other. That HAS to be a relatively cheap gimmick for Mattel to pull off.

I would love to see it too. The designer Mark Taylor scrapped it because he thought his engineer friend Ted Mayer would do a better job with vehicles. So Ted did the Battle Ram, but you can see at least the color of the Battle Chariot was carried over, and even that bird decal appeared on the Battle Ram prototype.

I have a slight feeling we could see it coming since it was already kinda hinted, however, we definitely still need the vintage-esque full Battle-Ram, it's one of the most iconic vehicles in MOTU.

The same goes, for Attak Trak, Spydor, Dragon Walker, Night Stalker and Talon Fighter/Point Dread, of course Bashasaurus, Fright Fighter, Moinstorid and the others would also complete the look of the line and add a lot of appeal to the collection in general.

BTW, the Evil Raider was also featured on the Wind Raider's box art and I wonder if it's gonna make it or not in the line eventually? Here is a fan custom of it:

That's going to Webstor if we get one. He had an evil Wind Raider with spider legs in Filmation.

I reckon some never-made vehicles planned from the original run/early concept art would sell incredibly well, not just to Origins fans but Vintage collectors too.

I agree, at least in terms of the appeal itself...
I myself tend to buy multiple copies of each vehicle for army building purposes and such, but I'm in the minority here because I only collect and dedicated to a few lines (other than LEGO), where many collectors tends to collect a bunch of lines at once where display and storage space becomes dense and valuable.

Trademarks like this baffle me. They have a trademark to Skeletor. Obviously nobody else could do "Sassy Skeletor".

I'm going to trademark "Spunky Stinkor" now.

    Filed January 12, 2023: MOTU

Looks like the current TM for MOTU from 2014 is still active as well.
