Some drawings I did of Hordak eons ago.

The first Hordak portrait I ever drew. Did it for an high school art class back in 2001.

Another Hordak I did a few years later, probably from 2006.

A Sorceress portrait probably from 2004.

He-Man in his "snake armor" probably drawn about the time season two of the MYP cartoon started, so probably 2003.

And just for fun, a sketch I drew for a Halloween thread here on this site several years ago.

whoops totally missed this. i think most people dont like scrolling down too much haha. for 10 years ago this is really good stuff. i could hardly even draw stick figures back then. Your snakearmor heman is definitely the best among these. His head is perfect. I like the different characters in the last one hah. especially slimer. Good job on others.

    Hope you get more comments

If you take the best writer in the world, and the best artist in the world, the art they would make together, will be a comicbook.

Trust me, I feel the same way sometimes, it actually made me stop drawing MOTU stuff for a while. I know I'm not the greatest artist but I think I'm pretty good. anyway I think it's cool of you to post old stuff, when I look at my old stuff it embarrasses me.

maybe i'll put it in a gallery here who knows it would benice if people would comment, but you post something you're proud of and see all the views and 1 or 2 comments, really is a let down.

The sorceress portrait isn't showing up for me. hmm, not even a link, but it's cool to see your progression.

Well, thanks for that. As for more comments, we shall see.

You know, I've been a frequent viewer of the fan arts section of this site for sometime and I've noticed something. They don't happen often, but there are threads like mine that tend to get overlooked. They get a gazillion views and zero comments and get lost forever in the site's archives.

What I chalk it up to is this hidden system where if a person's art isn't as good as Sha, Jukka or the other talents that really stand out in this community then it isn't worth looking at or commenting about.

That, I think, is considerably unfair. Not all of us tweak our art with digital coloring, not all of us ink them like the comic book pros and not all of us do all the fine tuning and shading stuff.

Our fan art isn't a competition and should honestly be treated on an equal playing field. It was my feelings on this subject that not only have made me rarely share my fan art here, but made me pull my entry out of the Gygor redesign event even before I had posted it.

I'm not complaining and I'm not trying to insight anything negative. I just had to get this whole thing off of my chest because I have a lot MORE pieces I'd like to share on here but I won't bother if they're just going to be treated as pointless scribbles.

I'll comment on your work. Trust me. There is always something good to find in a fan art, even if it is someone's personal take on something you wouldn't even dream of seeing.

It is showing up for me fine. Could just be a glitch.

I understand what ur trying to say but i dont think you can blame people on the forum or call it unfair. i agree it is disappointing when you dont get comments but i guess most people who come to the fan art section just wanna see and comment on good art. Which I think makes sense. Only other artists know how u need to keep practicing to get better. Not every artist is born talented and most of us have to do a lot of hard work to become any good. Not getting comments should not deter you from making more and/or posting more stuff here, or the redesign challenges. Im sure if you do your part then the regulars to the fan art section will realize your passion for MotU. And that really is what were all here to do isnt it. To share that passion. So please keep posting ur work.

Yeah lately firefox has been giving me a lot of problems.

anyway thanks for the pledge to support my stuff man! I appreciate it. I don't think it's as much a talent thing as much as it's some sort of unwritten popularity thing. as I said in the he-man zoadak thread I've seen (to my eyes) more amateur looking pieces get PAGES of comments and love while great stuff that ISN'T done by Eamon Baena Gbagok and company get views but no to little comments. (Not calling out the aforementioned artists to fault them for their popularity just listing the 'in crowd' )

I know my pieces could be more dynamic but hey, I guess I should get over it and just post no matter what.

Yeah, me too. My style is more on the cartoonist side which doesn't require so much shading and detail. Never was very good at shading besides. And, as for the artist popularity, I don't need to be popular. I just like to get reactions to my art from other people. I need commentary on my artwork BESIDES my own mind. In my mind, my art is always pretty decent. Go figure.

Caedus, like I mentioned before hand I'm not trying to group anyone into a certain demographic or insight anything negative. I just wanted to remind others that not everyone's art is going to be the SUPER, INCREDIBLE, WOWY, WOW, WOW thing. Of course, none of my pieces aren't and they aren't intended to be. Only thing they are are character and cartoony sketches of the MOTU cast.
