...play Star Wars Miniatures? I recently moved here and I'm looking for some cool people to hang out with and play some SW Miniatures. Any takers?

There are many of us around Columbus area. However I don't know how many are in for Star Wars Miniatures.

    Do you like other activities?

Welcome to C-bus!! I don't game, but you might want to check out the Soildery on High Street (behind the Laughing Ogre) or Hightower in Hilliard. They may be able to hook you up with some local gamers.

My fiance and I are always looking for fun things to do on our days off. Any suggestions?

I actually work in Hilliard so I may try to find Hightower. Thanks!

    Depends on your fancy
Gallery Hop during the summer on Saturday in the Short North.
Several Farmers Markets every Saturday morning May - Oct.
    Jeni's Ice Cream
There are always festivals going on spring to fall. This Saturday is Latino Fest!
    COSI
    Buckeye Lake
    Columbus Zoo
Several Metro parks some even have canoeing and kayaking.
    Spooky places galore!
Kings Island is about an hour away and Cedar Point is 3 1/2 hours away.
Newport for small venue and Lifestyle Pavilion has major music venues
We have a restaurant for whatever ethnic food you crave
Awesome vibe at Comic Town on Morse Rd, don't know what games they play but there is always a table going when I go.

And the best part is... you can get around in reasonable amount of time. Traffic is nothing compared to other major cities.

Yeah, we got a lot here.

    Welcome home!

Judith - I love Jeni's ice cream. I actually just got back from there. I love cherry lambic and the goat cheese with roasted red cherries.

We looooooove North Market on weekends and we've been to the zoo once already. My fiance loves Jeni's as well. I think it's her favorite ice cream of all time now. Lol. We're looking for great restaurants to go to. We've been to German Village and Schmidt's and loved it. Could you recommend any other good restaurants in the city? The only downside to Columbus so far is neither of us are OSU fans. Lol. It seems you have to be a Buckeyes fan to be allowed to breathe up here.

Yes, I would recommend almost any restaurant in the Short North. Betty's is great if you can get a seat, as is Cap City on Neil Avenue. If you like sushi, Sushi Rock and Nida's are good places to go. If you like Mexican food, then I would suggest La Fogata and El Vaquero.

As for OSU, if you haven't been here for a college football game, then you haven't seen anything yet.

Yes it is. I've tried for the past few years to have a meet and greet either before or after the show but no one ever wants to. And the last one was the best cause it was when I got my Eternia!

SATURDAY night would be the right time for a meet and greet. Setup lasts until 10, and a 2hr eternian happy hour til 12 might be very cool.

The sunday show is usually very exhausting for those of us who vend, and by the time 4pm rolls around, people are all about getting out of dodge.

I've heard from many folks that spring '10 was the best CTS show to date.

I'm very excited for the upcoming one. Please contact me and tell me what to bring to my booth if you plan to attend.
