First let me say this: I hate all modern action figure lines.

But I do like MOTUC. At first I felt it was a little too late in the game for me to start collecting them and I couldn't see paying over $30 for a modern figure from some eBay hawk. I also think the whole web exclusive system is bull too.

But still, they are too tempting. I see some people hear sell them at retail price a lot of times, which is cool. I hope this forum can help me build my collection without relying on eBay creeps!

What do loose figures generally sell for? Like a loose, mint Evil-Lyn?

Also, are there any differences between first issues and re-issues?

the only two figures with differences between 1st release and Reissue are He-Man and Skeletor.
The only difference between first release and a reissue is that only the reissues have the yellow burst with the words: "THE ORIGINAL"

He-Man: No reddish paint around eyes, corrected Shoulders, softer Loincloth
Skeletor: softer loincloth, left hand is a bit more closed.

jokes aside, i starded my collection last april and i pursued all the previous releases without offering my blood to the e(vil)-bay, just trading with fellow orgers (in the italian section of the forum).

Behold, SotB. The greatest beast of them all...ME! And while modern action figures are definitely declining, there are still great lines out there (Star Wars, Masterpiece Transformers, Marvel Select). MOTUC is pretty good too if they weren't so much of a pain in the burro to obtain (plus the QC problems don't help much either). But welcome to my killing grounds and hope you choose wisely on what side of the battle you join here...
