I'm thinking about the merky purples and reds of the terrain and skies around the Filmation Grayskull when it's night time.

It will be interesting to see how that looks I think!

Oohh, that is really nice.. I'd love a poster like that. The only thing I would change would be the typography at the bottom.

Yea I agree, give the title more of a treatment and it would make a great teaser poster.

Yours might have a more old school MotU vibe, but that poster is more apealing to a wider audience I think.. There is less going on and it's good because of that simplicity imo. It's a bit "K.I.S.S".

I really like this new take on a teaser poster!!! Very nice work!! If I saw this out of the blue in my movie theater, I would flip out and get goosebumps all over I do agree that the lettering on the title could be upgraded a bit.

Yeah, Eamon has been right to say that He-Man is iconic - the moment you see that singular, but distinctive & recognisable character, many of the other characters would come to mind - even with just a passing knowledge of the franchise.

Looking forward to a little purple in that sky & improved font.

Overall though, the simplicity really is the style - He-Man himself has a very minimalist aesthetic, yet there are so many stories about his sword, his strength, his steed.

I mean - the less there is, the more possibilities can be found in the image - you fill in the blanks yourself, usually with your own awareness of what the MOTU story is about.

In contrast, Sejic's picture of He-Man & Teela's kiss, though arrestingly erotic, it is surrounded by sci-fi invaders and has so much cliche (despite it's shining polish!) that you'd know what you'd be getting from this MOTU movie - something like Star Wars I to III. (Not a good thing IMHO.)

I love Sejic's confrontational pictures between the main MOTU protagonists, but MOTU doesn't need re-interpreting too much (I'm actually just referring to his vision of He-Man as knight)- MOTU has such a distinct & outlandish look; it's an inter-dimensional culture shock revolving around a post-apocalyptic dark age.

Filmation turned this aesthetic into the Disney version. They made some good contributions in terms of atmosphere & look.

But 200x went wrong with the "hyper-anime detail" - it wasn't a distinctively MOTU aesthetic. You'd heard the music before from Zena, & though the plot was good, I felt that Eternios was too hi-tech & lacking in that sense of technological rarity of the minicomics and the landscape created by Filmation - the low purple sky, rocks like claws & fangs, vast wildernesses (the ladybird books & early mini-comics evoke this too).

You still had the highly fortified city of Eternos (I'm thinking of Tri-Klops leading a charge of orange, bestial men against the city walls in one of the early Texiera minicomics) and powerful weapons and vehicles - but it was Mad-Max in sandals & the coarse barbarians used what-ever they could against Skeletor's demonic power.

I see that hinted at in Eamon's excellent teaser, sign-posted with faithful MOTU forms & shadows & it is definitely a possibility for the wide-open digitalrich teaser. Both would be exciting to see in the movie theatre - Sejic's though (pretending it is a teaser), would not!

I agree with others, it just not the right colors.

I can’t believe some people are saying these designs aren’t right for a MOTU film. I think they’re phenomenal and I know that I, for one, would be ecstatic if this was the aesthetic they would use for the film. Trust me, things could be a lot worse. Methinks there are a lot of people round here who are going to be unhappy with the film no matter what.

Colors can always be changed. Look at the design itself.
Brings doom to MOTUC with cel accuracy.

Very nice artwork. Some parts would be good for motu. Others not so much. Where could we buy these. Does the artist sell these or are they just for show? Anybody?
