This is an idea I had waaaaaaaaaay before I even attempted the original Sllohcin-vision but never progressed past the basic "general" daydreaming concept.
Thanks to Baena for starting the "visions" series way back when and for gbagok and The Raw and danbrenus and a few others for keeping it going. It's motivating and inspirational. My brain spins when I look at their threads and it only makes me want to add more to my own stories (that are in my head.)
Now, this "World of He-Man" idea is nothing more than a bit of fun. Nothing else is intended other than a spot to "play" with some designs and get back into drawing (I've only been back to the drawing board for less than a month so let's just say it's been a long while since I've done anything art related...)
Keeping to the "toy" look, I always thought MOTU was best served to young children. The bright colours, the swords and sorcery/lasers and robots mix... it's simply just too cool for school! So I wanted to go that route for the look and feel (I enjoy it the most)
Marvel's Super-Hero Squad meets MOTU.
Anyway, my idea revolves around the World of He-Man being filled with D&D styled peoples and creatures with a hefty dose of sci-fi thrown in. Men and Elves and Dwarfs and demons and robots.
Also, the planet (consider it to be the size of Earth) is comprised of many nations and lands. Eternia, Infinita, Trolla, Etheria... all neighboring lands and all places for numerous wondrously dangerous adventures.
So, I'll keep expanding on my thoughts as I post the characters. I just did He-Man up this morning and I'm going to start my second in a few minutes and see how far I can get before bed. Just have to figure out who I want to do as this line would/will include vehicles and play-sets and monsters much like... "Colossor"
