Thanks for the support GS and I fully understand the desire for the more completed look. They would look better. My reasoning to forgo the cell-shading is simply the amount of work to do it. He-Man was just my easy way of showing off what they "could" potentially look like in 3D.
I guess I'm trying to streamline the amount of work for each character so I can doodle one out and post it on my free time during lunch, etc.
Me too!Actually, I'll tackle Teela and Evil-Lyn next. Although somewhat squat to match the rest, I think a curvy Frazetta thickness would look best.
Now onto Beast Man
He was a bugger because even though he uses the bigger torso idea, he didn't come out as tall as I would have liked due to him looking better with a slightly dropped head. In toy form, I was hoping he would stand about .5" taller than a reg. figure.
I wanted Beast Man to be Skeletor's BIG man/creature. The powerhouse if you will. Someone who would rival He-Man in strength as well as act as Skeletor's personal protector/henchman. I would expect him to be very, VERY mean in an alpha male bestial "tear your limbs off and eat your face" fun kind of way. Also, I wanted to make Beast Man very reminiscent of the Alcala monsters/trolls/demons. I thought he perfectly fit the idea of being of their race (I'm waiting for the reactions when I do up Evil-Lyn as I'm contemplating a Drow Elf type of character with the dark ashen skin instead of yellow... and what about Ram Man? I always thought he would be better as a Dwarf-like character than the MYP giant.)

Hopefully you don't get bored of these ones.
