It’s snowing here so I figured I’d do a write up about my view of the various races that are found on Eternia. In my mind, Eternia only has a few races, but even still, they have much more than any other planet in the universe as they are in the center of the universe, and as such, were closest to the “god wave,” that jump started Eternia’s animal evolution process that created all these species. Even sill, I prefer the idea of less is more, and if a race isn’t on this list, in my mind they’re aliens and not native to Eternia or just don’t exist in my mind. I'll do another race list, listing the space races in the future! If you don’t recognize a name on the list, be sure to ask, I’ll answer! Any questions? I'd love to hear opinions on the matter!

Gar- Originally from the ruined dimension of Infita, members of this race came to Eternia and settled on the continent of Guar after their home was destroyed, while other members of the race went to various other planets around the universe. They are a race of elfish humanoids that used to be wide spread around Eternia, but through a variety of catastrophes, have become scarce and nearly extinct. They have athletic builds, and have blue, green, and indigo skin colors, with black, white, blond, or brown hair. They have long fangs and long nails, as well as elfin ears that frame their faces. They are very mystical, having the most magical potential out of all Eternian races. Members of this race include, but are not limited to, Keldor, the Green Goddess, Jarvan, Illumina, Tex Hex, and Shokoti.

Snake Men- From their homeland called Squamatesh in the deserts of Fire, they are an ancient race of humanoid snakes, who come in a variety of looks and forms. They are strong, fast, durable, and have a strong sense of superiority over any and all other races. They are ruled by their most powerful member, and worship their god Serpos, the three headed giant snake of chaos and destruction. Members of this race include King Hsss, Tung Lashor, General Rattlor, Sssqueeze, Snake Face, and Eysis.

Reptons- A newer race that hails lineage from the Snake Men, they are humanoid snakes that live under the ancient pyramids in the desert of time. They are just as strong, fast, and durable as the Snake Men, but they call themselves Reptons to shed their dark and evil image of the past in order to live in peace. If one of their own is evil, they are outcasted and banished from their homeland. Members of this race include King Python, Kobra Kahn, Fang Man, Vipra, and Scales.

Hemlins- A race of goblin-like beings, they are hair-less humanoids that are born with natural spikes and ridges on their body, though most people only have them running along the top of their head. They have multiple skin colors, ranging from purple, to blue, to green, and with multiple eye colors, from red to yellow to white. Members of this race include Spikor, Tuvar, and Baddrah.

Arachna- An ancient race of spider-like beings, they are humanoid with insectoid mandibles for mouths, clawed fingers, six eyes, and four appendages that protrude from their back. They are fast, can stick to walls, and can weave webs from their mouths that are nearly impossible to cut through. Due to their many wars with the Snake Men, one of their mortal enemies, only Webstor is still alive, having stayed in hibernation under Snake Mountain for many years. Members include Webstor.

Avionians- A bird-like people from the Mystic Mountains, they are humanoids with fur, feathers, and natural wings connected to their wrists. They can fly, are highly agile, and can bear cold mountain temperatures. Members of this race include Stratos, Delora, and Hawk.

Andreenids- Living at the base of the Mystic Mountains are the Andreenids, a wasp-like race of bee people. They can fly and have great strength, and their exo-skeleton provides great protection from most attacks. Members include Buzz-Off, Stingrad, and Queen Bee Andreeno.

Berserkers- A beast-like race that can look like either humanoid bears or great apes, they live in the jungles of the Berserker Islands. They are covered in fur, and have long claws and fangs. They are strong and durable, and some are born with the power to control animals and beasts. Members of this race include Beast Man, and Gygor.

Plant People- A race of beings made completely of foliage, they have the ability to commune, control, and generate plants, shrubs, grass, and tress. Any type of flora, they can control, for good or for evil. Their foliage composition also allows them to survive almost anything, with the exception being fire—they easily burn. On the verge of extinction, with only a few of their people still alive, they original came from a small settlement in a dense jungle named Arboran city. Members include Moss Man, Willow Weed, Evil Seed, Glade, and the Bitter Rose Goddess.

Qadians- A race of humanoid cats, they live in the city of Shandor on a large plain on Selkie Island. They take care of and breed Eternia’s large cats, such as pink lions, green tigers, and purple panthers—these species were originally cared for by Mistress Magicat, but she was beaten and defeated by an intruder long ago, and the duty has since fallen onto the Qadian race. Members include Chief Carnivus, and Kittrina.

Caligars- A race of reptiles akin to alligators and crocodiles that live in the demon realm of subternia, they are anciently related to the Snake Men, and by proxy, the Reptons. They are just as comfortable in the water as they are out, having enhanced strength and durability in both, with strong, dense tails that can be used as weapons. Members of this race include Whiplash, and King Ceratus.

Crab People- Crab-like beings, they live both in the ocean and on small islands found across the planet. They are strong, have incredible claw pincers at the end of their arms, and because of their exoskeleton, are extremely durable. Members include Clawful, and Pinsore.

Aquaticans- Under the ocean, there is a massive kingdom of sea dwelling folk, whom have the ability to live and breathe under the water. They are humanoid fish people that can come in a variety of colors but all of them have certain fish-like qualities. While they can live out of the water, they lose strength little by little as they become dehydrated, forcing them to stay hydrated to be their strongest. Members include Mer-Man, and Shalandor.

Eternians- A race of human-looking beings, they are stronger, faster, and more durable than normal humans. They are the most spread out species on Eternia, occupying many parts of the land and inhabiting all climates on the planet. They are the smartest race on the entire planet, and have an ability to wield magic that is second only to the Gar, though their physical abilities are far outweighed by other species. Members of this race include Randor, Adam, Marlena, Dekker, and Man-At-Arms.
