Hey guys,
here's a very old fanart pic I painted in the 80s (at the 11th August 1986 to be concrete, being nine years old). My dad discovered it some time ago in a box with many old pics of and from me. I thought I should share this with you. As you can see my painting skills weren't fully developed back then, hehe
I did that pic on a holiday in Italy where we stayed in the wonderful village Dolcedo (somewhat near San Lorenzo and if I remember it right about 40 minutes car drive from San Remo).
Below the pic I will roughly translate what I had written in the painting. All of these figures are self-created characters for the Motu line which, for some strange reason, were never produced by Mattel
Those evil guys were thought of me to be added to teh Horde, my fave "crew" back then and having the fewest toys...
ANTENA: brother of Mantenna, pushing a button on the back pops out some some wickedly curved antennas from the chest. A crossbreed of Roboto and Mentenna so to say...
FLUGOR: the attached wings on the back can be moved via a little wheel on the back between them.
BOXTOR: one of his punching arms can be "shot" via an elastic spring build inside
SKAUDAKT: has some Stinkor-like trident which can be shot (again via an elastic spring mechanism)
PHOSFOR: an evil mechanized creature which could glow in the dark (just like Scareglow), showing of his ability of a harmful, radioactive aura
GOLKI: a vehicle I have forgotten which use I had in mind *lol* I only wrote that it had some secret storage room
QUINTOR: obviously influenced by one of my fave arcade games back then - Moonpatrol (an arcade machine with said game stood at the bar in the village we stayed, together with Kung Fu Master and a Space Invaders clone), this vehicle was supposed to have a water tank and could shoot it through a canon.
Alright - I hope you enjoyed this little piece of nostalgia together with me... A shame I never send my ideas to Mattel for producing![]()
