princess chelsea

this is a commission i was asked to do of a girls fan based character called princess chelsea.

princess chelsea is basically the teenage daughter of prince adam & another fan based character called silverrose who you can find here http://nightwing1975.deviantart.com/gallery/7544772?offset=120#/d304u5d

i decided to design her so that she would fit in with the classic filmation style characters.

i was told that princess chelsea was to be a bit of a tomboy, so to bring this across in her drawing i decided to use elements of her fathers outfit to create her bodice. i basically used his pink & white shades in her costume but instead of using adams purple i used this green shade which the girl who commissioned me said she would like to be added into the costume.

i gave her white bracelets to represent adams white sleeves & also gave her a green & white version of adams belt.

i then just redesiigned a pair of high heel boots for her that i felt would fit into the pop world.

she has her fathers hair colour but she got her mothers skin & eye colour.

i gave her a tiara similar to glimmers as she is a princess & added a pink rose to it as her mother is silver rose.

so overall i have to say i am pretty happy with how she turned out because i think you can definately see parts of both her parents in her design plus i think she would fit in really well in the pop universe

yea i know what you mean plus i would imagine the gardening thing would definately be in princess chelseas genes with her mother being the queen of the whispering woods

thank you so much the hair style was actually based on a star trek hairstyle. the girl who commissioned me to do it is a huge star trek fan also & wanted me to give her that kind of hair

Yay! Adam and Silver Rose had a daughter. Now Frosta, Castapella and Sweet Bee must really be jealous. I loved her. Specially her hair. Now say, this fan fic, where is it?

Hey Nightwing I was checking your devian art gallery and there are drawings from lots of series like Star Wars, He-Man, She-Ra and Jem, so I wondered. Do you know the Sailor Moon anime? Have you ever thought about drawing something from it? Your drawings are very beautiful and sparkly, your use of shadows, contrasts and colors is amazing, I think a Sailor Moon drawing done with your style would be very very beautiful

Hehe. With Frosta and Sweet Bee not knowing that Adam and He Man are one in the same, that might not be too bad. Casta on the other hand... I'd have to think about how that would go. And Frosta and Castaspella are my favorites out of the other POP rebels. Frosta pursuing HeMan = priceless.

And Chelsea came out really cute. Still working on her profile some. Can't wait to see the next one.

And the original Star Trek series is a gem for POP hair ideas.

Chelsea is really sweet! Her face looks exactly like Glimmer's one.

adara is also the sister of princess chelsea

she was named adara after her aunt adora.
i was told that seeing as chelsea was a tomboy, adara should be a very femanine princess who would posess more of her mothers traits.

Very pretty as always Nightwing, nice work with the transparent wrap especially. She seems delicate & I think you achieved that.
