This looks excellent. Well done! I think even someone with no interest in toys at all would be fascinates. Heck, there wan't much in this teaser that is new to me, and I'm hooked.

I heard about this doc and I figured it would be pretty fun to watch, but I clearly underestimated the work that's gone into this. These guys are serious and I want to see more.

Agreed that sometimes it's best not to know. I'm hoping this controversial bit is only a small subset of all that's discussed in the doc. If it's the central theme (as is the case with many docs that explore a singular possibility, often controversial), I'm not sure I'd want to check it out. I'd rather stick to the BCI DVD docs in that case.

But...speculation aside, just hoping for the best. It does look like a decent production, actually.

I can't imagine it wouldn't release on DVD. I'd love to see this in select theaters, plenty of niche establishments in the Southern California area do showcase docs, so I can dream, can't I?

If this is a full-length documentary where 80% of it focuses on a bunch of cranky jerks fighting back and forth about who actually did what 30 years ago, I'm passing. As a MOTU fan, this sort of thing doesn't interest me at all. I'd rather spend the hour or so re-organizing my toys on my display shelves

Are these guys going to be in the same room together at Power Con? Because I would hate to think that the event might be spoiled because the guests of honour got into a massive argument over who-created-what.

    Hey Everyone,

I personally can not wait for this. I think it looks really well done. I really do hope this is an in depth examination the history of the property, from the development of the vintage toyline, through to Filmation's "MotU" and "PoP" Cartoons, (the various licencing this spanned), the live action movie and proposed "Powers of Grayskull-line", "NA". The quite times of the 90s, before the movement on the internet leading to the revival. A revival beginning with the Commemorative Series, 2002 line, MYP Cartoon, MVC Comics, the video games and NECA's series of Statues and Busts. And finally where the property currently stands today, with "MotU:C" currently available on Matty Collector delivering characters we have never seen in figure form previously, the 30th Anniversary, and that the property is currently at a cross-roads with great fan-collector support, and a proposed live-action movie that may move the property back into pop-culture mainstream. But, I would be happy with less, the truth is I really am very, very optimistic about this from the footage we have just witnessed.

    Take Care,
    Darren

Wow, I can't wait to see this blood-bathed documentary! I didn't know there was so much conflict behind the creation of this property!
If these guys are indeed going to the Power-Con, Val, Carla and Dan might as well prepare the wrestling cage with shields, swords, maces, axes and spears... Finally, we may witness a real MOTU smack-down.

I personally come down on the Mark Taylor side. He sounds like he's telling you what happened whereas Roger Sweet sounds like he's telling you a story of what happened.
