    Greetings And Unfortunate He-Man Update

    Hi Everyone!

I'm new to this board, and let me tell you, it was such a relief to find it, because as a kid, I was a huge He-Man fan! It wasn't until recently that I started looking for updates on whether or not there was going to be a resurrection of the series any time soon, and I must say, my first findings were downright scary.

I REALLY hope this isn't him in 2011. I understand that nobody stays the same as they get older, but wow, he really let himself go.

But seriously, it's great to be here, and I look forward to interacting with other fans in virtual form here in E-ternia!

On behalf of He-Man.org's admin, staff, and moderators, allow me to extend an official Hello and welcome to He-Man.org, orkolio! We're very glad to have you join our site hope you have a fun time discussing Masters of the Universe and Princess of Power here.

Please be sure to read over the rules for posting here when you have an opportunity. Most of them are pretty easy to follow.

As for the demotion photo, can you blame a guy/gal for wanting to dress up as their favorite hero for Halloween?

We hope you really enjoy your time here! Welcome!

Oh wow, Judith! Now you're really going to give me nightmares! I never even thought that could be a gal in there!

Thank you for the warm welcome, and taking the time to write, as well as facilitating making such a great resource available to us diehard He-Man fans, free of charge! Just to get a little background on the website, for how long has it been around? Are you one of the founders? Do you wear body armor in real life? Do you happen to know if there are plans in the works to bring back a He-Man animated series? Responding to the third question is optional. I look forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks!

Adam Tyner started a He-Man site back in 1996. There was a He-Man mailing list that was also started at the end of 1995. Both become the main destinations for He-Man fans. Soon after, Matt R started his own He-Man site which was full of great info. Jason Moore setup He-Man.org and invited Adam and Matt to host their sites there in 1998. by that time, the mailing list and the forums on Adam's site where the main communities for MOTU and POP.

Val Staples came on as the first mod of Adam's community approximately in 1997, and was followed soon after by Nick Cathery and then a rich history of great mods like the ones you see here today. I joined Adam's online community in 1998 and have been here ever since, just recently taking a mod position.

When 2000 rolled around, Adam and Matt combined their sites into one main site on He-Man.org. As interest in the site increased, the cost became too expensive for Adam and Matt to continue the site. So in 2001, Val Staples took over as owner of the He-Man.org and domain, paying the increasing hosting costs for the following years, and he also acted as a liaison between Mattel and fans for many years to come.

Around this time, Emiliano Santalucia had started Masters Unbound which was a visually compelling MOTU and POP site. In 2002, Emiliano and Val joined forces and merged Masters Unbound into He-Man.org with Val handling the finances and PR for the site and Emiliano handling the creative design and content.

Since then, He-Man.org was overhauled in 2004 by MVCreations, thanks to Adam Tyner and Matt Tyree. It occurred again in 2008 after Emiliano planned a design for a new interactive site which eventually came online in 2009 thanks to donations from fans and programming of Mudbrick Design.

The site is currently an interactive database where fans can add content to the site, with the forums having both an English speaking section and an Italian section that became the home for many Italian fans from He-Man.it.

Val is still the owner of the site and continues to handle PR, manages finances and is the English forum admin while Emliano is still the creative designer and is the Italian forum admin. Adam still helps out from time to time with programming needs. We think Matt R stops by for the occasional visit but he prefers to remain incognito.

There was a cartoon back in 2002 that came out by Mike Young Production and it was really well done. Nonetheless, it did not capture enough viewership and the endless variants of He-man and Skeletor choked up the market so the cartoon, comic, and toys were pulled.

As for rumors on another cartoon or movie, you can hit up the New Movie forum or the Classic MOTU forum.

No body armor, but I did don the headdress (She-ra) this past Halloween.

Wow. Thanks for the complete history of he-man.org. I have been coming to this site since 2000 and never knew all the background you just mentioned. This should be up in a special spot or something. Like an "About" section.

    Great job.
