So how many folks from the surrounding areas are going. I lost track of most of my collector crew here from the Buffalo (WNY) Area. Would be cool also is it tough to take stuff across the border (I never really brought stuff into canada and vice versa). I know people come down all the time to shop for deals so it can't be terribly hard. What are all of your plans.

I'm so there! I can't believe we're getting our own con (way overdue) - there was no hint that this was even in the works! Will there be any special events?

not sure. That is awesome at least for the buying possibly. I plan to hold onto any part i can of my tax refund to buy a couple pieces if they have anything that is in beautiful shape etc. thinking more vintage on that but if they have great prices on new i might buy more.

the website is http://www.he-con.ca/ but I don't really understand how it's going to be different from the regular annual 80s Toy Show...if Mattel isn't going to be there isn't it kinda pointless?

As long as the emphasis of the show is based on Masters of the Universe, I don't care if Mattel's there I'm strictly going for vintage MOTU anyways.

that's my question though, the site says it will have other 80s toys, so is it DIFFERENT ENOUGH from the regular 80s Toy Show to make it worth attending or not?

As for Mattel, the ones Mattel attends are cool because you often get reveals or unique stuff or get to talk to insiders etc. If this is essentially the same as the annual 80s Toy Show but with a MOTU theme it's not worth going IMO.

Sounds like it's the 80's Toy Expo, with a new name.

That being said, how were the 80's Toy Expos from previous years? What is there to expect?
