Deleting Pictures

how on earth do you delete pictures in order to upload new ones?

I've gone into the manage attachments at the bottom of where you reply to a thread but there is no option to delete a picture.

I've also gone into my own profile to manage pictures, but it says I have no pictures to delete, even though I can see about 9 pictures when I look in the manage attachments menu.

Please someone help me

Have you gone to "My Settings"
Hit "Attachments" under the Miscellaneous heading
Selected photos you want to delete and than hit delete on the bottom of the screen?

I've tried that, but mine seems to be missing the delete button, how frustrating. Thankyou though for replying.
