Filmation soundtrack to be released on CD in May!

Big news!

For those who are waiting for the release ogf the original Filmation soundtrack that was available back in the days only in France and in Argentina, your wait is finally served!

13Bis records will release on May the 14th the original soundtrack of Masters Of The Universe!

EDIT: Just to clarify things, everything was written in my first post. This is the release on CD of what was available on the agentinian audio cassette and also on the french vinyl disc back in the 80's! So it contains the same content. This is an official item, not a bootlegged one made of mp3 files.

So It countains the 12 bgms that we all know, the spanish introduction (because it has a song inside). The one name "12. Les bons amis 16’00 (Une histoire originale extraite de la série TV)" is the episode "A friend in need" that was available on the french vinyl disc.

The company 13 BIS RECORD is a serious compagny and will not try to release a bootleged disc.

This reminds me the time when the Filmation serie was first available on DVD only in France (2003). Everybody thought they were bootlegged DVDs but they were reals, legals and authentics DVD.

I am aware of the other thread but now we are not sure if that is going to happen. I actually seem to have more music from the videos posted on YouTube (which have been pulled) than what is on this CD.

good friends? the only story that i'm aware of was from the diamond ray episode that was released in french and spanish.

This'll be the only release. Just a freaking re-release of the 80's release. So no She-ra.

For this subject, I thought the lalaland record thread was here for that. In order to let them know that we want the complete and full soundtrack.

I edited my first post and gave you the adress of someone who's working at 13 bis records. Try to contact him (in english). It's the e-mail of the registrant for the domaine name so he will forward to the team who's in charge of this project.

I fear the master tapes for the full soundtrack may actually have already being destroyed, that being the real reason the apparent recent news talking of some record company apparently interested in the possibility of finally releasing it silently faded into nothingness. You know, they, in fact, incredibly destroyed the original analog master tapes of the cartoon itself, there remaining only a set of poor, low-definition digital masters that are only good for already-outdated DVD editions (which is why they've already made it crystal clear we will absolutely never be getting a true high-definition blu-ray edition).

They destroyed film prints after making digital transfers so I don't think they destroyed anything without making a backup.

What you see on DVD's is not how the digital masters truly look like as they have a very high bitrate thus lacking any pixelization (which was most noticeable during transformation sequence). While they have DVD resolution, they're definitively not poor. (Ask Busta Toons for more details about it)

Pffffffff who cares about the already released material? I have the LP in perfect condition, I don't care about a CD release of something I already have.

Let's email them to ask for a complete release... else this will have disappointing sales and it will destroy any chance of a proper release.

I have all these but still think this is great! Anytime we go from bootleg editions to official ones is a step in the right direction that could lead to more, like the other tracks everyone wants. And how is this not on the main page?

There is a rumor, that this CD could be sold at 6 euros! (attention , this is just a rumor, nothing official about the price has been ever mentionned officialy)

If the editor, couldn't sell this CD worldwide, I could help you to get it, as I live in France.
