I bought 3 single this past month:

Hoku - Perfect Day (single version) [Not the Chris Lord Alge's Legally Blonde version]

Taylor Hawkin - Range Rover *****

Something for the People - My Love is the Shhh [a different version than 90's single, I don't know, this one is better]

Playing a three-hour Rush show is like running a marathon while solving equations.

This 7" vinyl in very good condition. And why did I buy this?

Catherine Warwick was one of the primary vocalists on the Japanese Mother(Earthbound prequel) soundtrack album, singing on 3 of the songs. She was only 14 at the time, and Shigesato Itoi took the unusual route of hiring English-speaking vocalists primarily hired from the UK.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBbRJoHTJAM

Unfortunately her career beyond that never went anywhere, partly because for whatever boneheaded reason her UK managers decided not to use the talent she displayed in the Mother OST and instead tried pop songs. She cut 2 singles on that vinyl which failed to chart very high.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDwwFDqYXq0

Some years later she showed up again as part of a UK pop duo called Those 2 Girls. They cut 2 singles which also failed to chart very high.

She'd be in total obscurity now if it wasn't for the rampant fanbase around the Earthbound franchise, although no one's found out what became of her after Those 2 Girls. It's a pity she didn't stick to doing music in the vein of Pollyanna and the rest of the Mother OST- while her pop singles aren't bad, they're not really comparable to those songs. This vinyl is kind of a side oddity for EB collectibles.
I discovered Mother/Earthbound music early last year. By far in my opinion one of the underrated Nintendo soundtrack ever made. My favorite track is always on leitmotif of Pollyanna and Because, I love you. I always play Fourside before going to bed to loosen me up. Also I heard from Youtube comment that Nintendo's New York store they would play a couple of few tunes from Earthbound. Playing Hospital dub in the store kinda gave me a little chuckle. Great album though.

    ------------------------------

    Bought:

TODIEFOR - Tunak Tunak Tun (Daler Mehndi)
    Niia - Girl Like Me
Noel Gallagher's High FLying Bird - Holy Mountain

Have to say, Holy Mountain is a little fun Bowie's Diamond Dogs.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Tere Bin Nahi Ladga.

The Mighty Show-Stoppers - Hippy Skippy Moon Strut

One is a very lovely World music ballad, and another one is a Funk jam ever created.

Santana & Kirk Hammett - Trinity, interpolate Nusrat's Tere Bin chorus, basically a tribute to World music.

Christina Aguilera sampled Hippy Skippy Moon Strut for Ain't No Other Man. what can I say: DJ Premier is a genius.

My next CD purchase will be The Night You Wrote That Song: The Songs Of Mickey Newbury - Gretchen Peters

I also wish to add the following to my collection: The Singles Collection 1986 - 2014 and Runaway Horses 30TH Anniversary Edition by Belinda Carlisle, Game Day and Death Of Rock - Peter Holsapple Versus Alex Chilton by Peter Holsapple, Angels Hear and A Different World by The Action Skulls (featuring Vicki Peterson from The Bangles) and the following albums by Dominique Davalos & Kathy Valentine (from The Go-Go's): Boom Boom Boom Boom, Play Loud and Tone Wrecker.

In September, Luba Mason is releasing a new album called Triangle.

The last one I bought was from an eBay lot, called Spooky Sounds from Count Chocula Castle. It's one of those "sound adventure"-style CDs, only using the Monster Cereals. It came out back in 2009 only at Target, and was one of those "ah, this'll come back, we don't have to worry about it at all!" CDs for multiple people. Turns out, there was worry for it, and now a lot of lots are in the 100s for cost, but I lucked out with a 40-ish dollar lot a couple months back.

Blaze Bayley huh? Read about his interview saying he and Bruce Dickinson are cool buddies, they just disappoint that the fans shunned him because he was replacing one of the best metal vocalist in history. Same case with Rob Halford and Tim Owens.

I have all the songs already, but I'm thinking of adding The Bangles - GOLD album to my CD collection, strictly for the remixes which sound fascinating. I love Susanna Hoffs, Vicki & Debbi Peterson, and Michael Steele.

It's been a long time since I pledged for the new Cowsills album with Susan, Paul & Bob, and I've not heard any news updates about the completion of the album. I hope everything is all right regarding this project, I know times became tough when http://PledgeMusic.com shut down.

Right now I am having a DC Comics soundtrack CD marathon featuring music from the '66 movie and series, the two 75TH Anniversary albums, the LEGO Batman soundtrack, and the Batman - Brave And The Bold: Mayhem Of The Music Meister soundtrack.

After my DC marathon, I plan to listen to the Disney soundtrack albums for Beauty And The Beast and Aladdin. I love the musical talents of Emma Watson as Belle and Naomi Scott as Jasmine.

Very soon I shall have my Bette Midler CD marathon, but I think I will give myself a little teaser by first listening to Mud Will Be Flung Tonight (Bette's comedy album) and her Diva Las Vegas concert soundtrack. I watched Bette's Kiss My Brass concert on YouTube yesterday.

In all, I'm planning many music marathons for my favourite musicians, each one in turn.
